Episode 4: Tiana Kara on #LevelUp!

In Episode 4 of The Badass Coder Podcast series, we sat down with Tiana Kara, a badass woman in tech who is the Head of Partnerships and Growth at #BUILTBYGIRLS. An organization that was recently celebrated by EventBrite and Elle magazine for their outstanding leadership with helping to prepare the next generation of women leaders, builders and creators in tech. Just like networking, this all started out with a simple conversation. A conversation based on why it was important for people(especially women) to start building relationships with peers by networking across instead of up. We have all heard this saying before, “It is not what you know but it is who you know” that has motivated us to get through the door but only to leave us to a surprise in the end. A london based tech company that empowers millennials to build their own empires online by providing support for digital style publishers globally. Like many Chloé had always been known to dream big and after discovering such a huge gap between the tech and fashion world, she took it upon herself to combine her love for both and turn it into her own company. This badass has helped to break down these old stereotypes of what it means to “look like an engineer ” as a woman in tech just by showing up as her self, believing her own abilities and never giving up on her dreams. Chloé Digital is now hosting their second world tour! visiting major cities like Los Angles, New York, and Dallas to continue helping more millennials build their own blogs, brands and businesses.
