I wanted to articulate that we are not push-overs, but we're also not jerks for protecting our children. I hope you can relate to the struggle of knowing when to speak up. Seems logical.  Mark 7:21-22 & Matt 15:19 - These are Jesus' words, specifically listing sins.  Rev. 3:16 - "be hot or cold, but lukewarm I spit you out of My mouth." 1 Cor. 5:11 - "don't eat with" or "associate with" fake christians!
