Rhythmic Oldies-MEGA 104.3 12:18:25 8.52 PM

Photo: Wikipedia Public Domain Story by: Gail Nobles Intro by: Gail Nobles Hey there, music lovers! Let me tell you about a real radio station in the airwaves: Mega 104.3 FM in Camp Verde, Arizona. This isn’t just any station; it’s a rhythmic oldies paradise! When I first tuned in, the sweet sounds of The Fugees' “Killing Me Softly” filled my ears, followed by the catchy vibes of “Mandolay” by Lā Flavour. What a great mix! And let’s not forget Montell Jordan’s classic, “This Is How We Do It.” Talk about a blast from the past – Mega 104.3 is definitely bringing the rhythm to Arizona! Right now, they’re spinning a Prince classic “1999.” Can you feel that beat? You can listen live at Mega1043.com, where the music never stops. And guess what? They’ve got some fantastic concerts lined up! On February 14, 2026, it’s the Valentines Super Love Jam featuring GQ, Peaches and Herb, Rose Royce, Blackstreet, and more. Then on May 2, 2026, get ready for The R&B Lovers Tour with Keith Sweat, Dru Hill, Joe, and Ginuwine. Just now, I caught The Jets’ “Crush On You” and I can't stop grooving! So if you love that rhythmic oldies sound, make sure to tune in to Mega 104.3 – your station for all the hits that make you want to dance! That’s Mega1043.com. Keep the rhythm alive! I’m Gail Nobles and you’re listening to the Buzzly Podcast. Commentary

Untapped Groove 11:9:25 3.57 PM

THE UNTAPPED GROOVE The B-Side Shoulda Been the A-Side! Story by: Gail Nobles You ever find yourself, late at night, maybe cruising down the boulevard with the radio on low, and a song comes on that just… I mean, it hits you right in the rhythm section, a real gone melody with a beat you can really dance to. But then you find out... it never was a hit. It never even cracked the Top 40. It got lost in the shuffle, a forgotten 45 in a discount bin. You’ve just stumbled upon what we in the biz call "The Untapped Groove." And let me tell you, it happens more than you think! Back in the early days of this rock 'n' roll revolution, the air was electric! But the music industry, well, it was a tough town. You could have the most solid gold song, but if your record label didn't get behind you with a big push—getting the music into the jukeboxes, sweet-talking the disc jockeys, plastering your name in lights—you could get lost in the static. It wasn't just about talent; it was about luck, timing, and having a big machine behind you. And don't even get me started on the groups themselves! A group cuts one wild, crazy record that starts gettin' some heat... and then *poof*! They split up. Maybe the lead singer gets drafted, the guitar player's old lady wants him to get a "real job," or they just have a rumble over who gets the songwriting credit. It happened all the time in the fifties and sixties! They cut their career short before they could even build up a full catalog of killers. Then there's the scene over in the UK, man! Man, oh, man! They've got some crazy, frantic sounds over there! Groups that are bigger than Elvis in Liverpool or Manchester, packing the dance halls night after night. But sometimes, that sound just doesn't make the hop across the big pond. It gets lost at sea. It's a crazy world! So the next time you're digging through your big stack of records and you find one of those forgotten gems, don't you dare feel sorry for it. You hold it up to the light, you dust it off, and you let it play! Because you, my friend, you're not just a listener. You're an archaeologist of the beat, digging up the hits that never were! This is Gail Nobles, reminding you that the real heart of rock 'n' roll isn't always in the charts... sometimes, it's hiding on the B-side. So keep listening, spinning those records!!  Have a great weekend. Thank you for listening to the Buzzly Podcast. Commentary

Turmoil Over Love of Money 3:17:25 4.02 PM

Story by: Gail Nobles Hello, I’m Gail Nobles and you’re listening to The Buzzly Podcast. The song "Love of Money" by The O'Jays talks about how obsessed people are with money and how far they will go to get it. This is especially relevant today, as we often hear about different types of scams and fraud that trick innocent people out of their money. In recent years, many scams have come up that take advantage of people's weaknesses, leaving them in tough financial situations. Examples include scams (where people are tricked into giving away personal information), identity theft, and pyramid schemes. These scams can lead to huge losses and also hurt trust between friends and with banks or other businesses. The rising cost of living makes things even harder. Many Americans are dealing with higher bills and surprise expenses that add to their stress. People often have to handle costs they can't control, like increased utility bills or medical expenses. This financial pressure can make people feel hopeless, leading them to make desperate choices to find stability. Additionally, society often celebrates greed and wealth, which can make things worse. The media shows luxurious lifestyles that can pressure people to act unethically or illegally to keep up. When money becomes the main goal, it can change what people consider right or wrong, which ties back to the powerful message in The O'Jays' song., Love of Money. To address these issues, society needs to focus on teaching people about money and provide support for those affected by financial crimes. This means educating people about scams, promoting good financial habits, and encouraging open discussions about money and its effects on our lives. By tackling these problems together, we can help rebuild trust and security in our financial systems. I’m Gail Nobles. Thank you for listening. Commentary

Mass Production 8:25:24 9.04 PM

Keyboardist: Gail Nobles Story by: Gail Nobles Do you remember  Mass Production Firecracker. It's a 1979 song by the band and Mass Production is a fun disco musical group best known for that Firecracker hit number four on the R&B chart in the late summer of 1979.  Firecracker is a dynamite explosion of sound that's bursting with energy. The track fuses soul, fun, and a dash of the party spirit that was sweeping the nation.  From the very first Firecracker ignites a spark that pulls you right into its groove with a catchy baseline that's as smooth as silk. You'll find your feet tapping and your body swaying before you even know it. The brass section blazes through with those killer horns, And let's not forget the dazzling vocal harmonies that light up the track calling everyone to the dance floor.  The song Firecracker is the perfect anthem for those Summer nights filled with barbecues, dancing under the stars, and enjoying life to the fullest. Whether you're at a party or cruising with the top down, this tune is a surefire way to elevate the mood and spread good vibes. Somebody's outside shooting firecrackers right now in the neighborhood.  This is Gail Nobles signing off with a reminder:  Pull up those great tunes. Make those playlist and keep music grooving. Until next time, keep music in your heart and mind. Commentary
