A new type of episode but the first of many in this style: an audio film commentary! Join us as we journey through Middle-Earth in the first installment of the one film trilogy to rule them all: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. This episode is designed to be listened to as you watch the film. That will give you the best listening experience. If not, then you can enjoy or takes and tangents as normal. These episodes will be notated as "CX," with X being the number of commentary episode this is. This episode is C1. Disclaimer: This episode was recorded in 2021 and released in 2023, so there may be some discrepancies. For example, we say that we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the film, as it was released in 2001 and the recording took place in 2021. Also, Matthew refers to his wife as his girlfriend, as he had yet to propose at the time of this recording. But though some things here may be outdated, our takes and tangents are timeless. Enjoy!
