EP-4, The Shero Podcast, Interview with Tamara Johnson-Shealey

Ingrid Centurion interviews, Tamara Johnson-Shealey shares her unconventional journey from the beauty industry into politics and the hard lessons she learned along the way. A longtime nail technician, Tamara spent years working in the beauty industry, where safety, sanitation, and professional standards are critical. She explains how the industry is highly regulated due to the risk of disease transmission and why maintaining its reputation and integrity has always mattered deeply to her. Tamara’s entry into politics was not planned—it was driven by necessity. Feeling compelled to protect her peers and fight for working people, she stepped into the political arena in 2014.  During the COVID-19 pandemic, she saw what she describes as government overreach threatening the livelihoods of small business owners, especially those in the beauty industry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she saw what she describes as government overreach threatening the livelihoods of small business owners, especially those in the beauty industry. Feeling compelled to protect her peers and fight for working people, she stepped into the political arena. She ran for political office in Georgia five times as a Democrat, on her fourth race she competed in a crowded race of 21 candidates. Despite earning over 100,000 votes, Tamara was not selected as the party’s chosen candidate. She speaks openly about her experience of feeling silenced by the party and how those campaigns exposed her to the realities of political systems, power, and gatekeeping. Throughout the interview, Tamara reflects on how her background shaped her beliefs. As a descendant of enslaved people, she strongly believes in reparations and is actively working toward solutions that would allow families who can prove their lineage to receive compensation. She also expresses frustration with what she sees as widespread misuse and abuse of government funds, emphasizing the need for accountability and fairness. While rooted in advocacy for reparations and small businesses, Tamara also identifies as an America First Democrat, underscoring her belief that government should prioritize its people, protect workers, and support honest entrepreneurship. Her story is one of resilience, civic engagement, and a willingness to challenge systems in order to fight for everyday Americans.

EP-3 Interview with Becky Thompson, called to Iraq and founder of the Restoration Act

Ingrid Centurion interview Becky Thompson, founder of the Restoration Act. In August 2014, Becky Thompson was recovering from life-saving neck surgeries when she heard the devastating news of thousands of people fleeing ISIS to Mount Sinjar (Shingal). Deeply moved, she began praying for the families facing unimaginable loss and displacement. In late May 2016, Becky traveled to Kurdistan, Iraq, spending a month on the ground providing humanitarian aid and meeting the very people she had been praying for. Welcomed by multiple families living in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps, her experience marked a turning point. In 2018, Becky founded The Restoration Act, (TRA) a nonprofit dedicated to providing hope, love, and restoration to communities impacted by conflict. Through humanitarian aid and educational programs, the organization continues to support and uplift people throughout the region. The TRA team—made up of people from around the world—shares a commitment to loving others and bringing hope, dignity, and restoration where it’s needed most.

In this powerful and inspiring interview, we sit down with Dr. Michelle Snyder, renowned Symbologist, Director of the Enzmann Archives, and founder of The Foundation for Research of the Enzmann Archives. Dr. Snyder shares her extraordinary life journey—one defined not by limitation, but by resilience, intellect, and purpose. Diagnosed with a medical condition that left her unable to walk and reliant on a wheelchair, Dr. Snyder was told her condition was permanent. Refusing to accept that prognosis, she made a bold and deeply personal decision: to harness the power of her mind. Through determination, mental discipline, and inner belief, she relearned how to walk—defying expectations and transforming her life. Today, Dr. Snyder is a world-renowned symbologist and the author of over 18 books, recognized globally for her groundbreaking work in symbolism, research, and consciousness. In this interview, she opens up about the mind’s extraordinary potential and how it can be directed toward healing, purpose, and impact. Her story is a message of hope and empowerment—especially for women living with physical impairments—reminding us that the brain is a powerful tool and that every life holds profound purpose beyond physical circumstance. This episode is a testament to courage, intellect, and the limitless possibilities of the human mind.
