Acerca de The ThanaTea Podcast

The ThanaTea Podcast is the place where we talk about all things death, life and the in between, over tea! Thanatology is the study of death and dying. Tea is a powerful way to connect and get to know the plants around us. The ThanaTea Podcast is where we explore these curiosities through conversations with amazing guests, stories, and lessons from the plants and natural world. Hosted by Carrie McCann of Moonset and Co.

4: Sacred Death as a Cheerleader of Life with Hannah Haddadi

In this episode we explore who Sacred Death is and the cycles of death and rebirth in our lives. We explore embodiment and how that shows up in these cycles, how death work can change your view on the world (and how there is always more to uncover), and how death is actually a cheerleader for life. We also talk about poisonous plants + plants of death, disappointing our parents, and more. Hannah Haddadi is a death witch, community herbalist, spoken word poet, writer, and owner of business Mourning Light Divination. She combines her background, lived experiences, Persian and Swedish/German/English ancestry, and path in magic and divination to connect with her work in ritual, transformation, death, and rebirth. She holds deep curiosity, gratitude, and love for the divine, nature, plants, and the human connection. Hannah is very interested in the power of owning and speaking one’s truth, which she finds for herself within performance, art, and teaching. She has worked with individuals such as Imelda Almqvist, Renna Shesso, Dia Nunez, and other brilliant and gifted spiritual workers, witches, and wise women.
