In this episode we interviewed U.S. Army Veteran King Queso. Bio: U.S. Army Drill Sergeant Miguel McCullen was born in Danville, Virginia, on December 12, 1987. He enlisted in the United States Army on October 13, 2013. Drill Sergeant McCullen completed his basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and his Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where he was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty of Motor Transport Operator (88M). Throughout his career, Drill Sergeant McCullen has held various positions, including Heavy Vehicle Operator with the 46th Transportation at Camp Stanley in South Korea, G3 driver at Fort Bliss, Texas, for Division Artillery HQ, Team Leader, Unit HAZMAT Certifier, and Retention NCO with the 513th Transportation Company at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. He has served as a Squad Leader and Battalion Equal Opportunity Leader for the 18th CSSB in Grafenwoehr, Germany, as well as a Platoon Sergeant, Battalion Master Fitness Instructor (H2F), Company Victim Advocate (SHARP), and P3T Instructor with the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment at Fort Irwin, California. Drill Sergeant McCullen has one deployment to Union Ill in Baghdad, Iraq (2017-2018), and an 11-month rotation to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait (2019-2020). He is currently serving as a Drill Sergeant in the 58th Transportation Battalion at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. His military and civilian education includes General Studies at Central Texas College, the Basic Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Pregnancy and Postpartum Program Leader (P3T), Master Resilience Trainer (MRT), Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP), Master Fitness Trainer (MFT/H2F), Equal Opportunity Leader (EOL), Combatives Level 1, Department of the Army Retention Training (DART), Technical Transport of Hazardous Materials, Master Driver Trainer (M9) Certified), Bus Driver Course, Field Sanitary Team Certification, and Combat Lifesaver (CLS). He has also graduated from the Drill Sergeant Academy. Drill Sergeant McCullen’s awards and decorations include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (6), Army Achievement Medal (6), Certificate of Achievement (4), Army Good Conduct Medal (4), National Defense Service Medal, Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2), and the Schützenschnur (Silver).
