Acerca de The We Podcast with Sarah Monares

The We Podcast was created to provide a space for women to speak their authentic truth, grow forward, and rise above the challenges they face. To realize and fully understand that we are not alone in our struggles is powerful and so very healing. In a world where masks and perfectionism are the norms, we want this to be a space where you can authentically come and take off those masks and stop the comparison game. We believe our story makes us who we are and that we each have a unique perspective and valuable gifts. It’s not until we can own our story and walk in it that we are able to have the power and confidence to pick up the pen and write our own ending. Part of the Loudspeaker family of podcasts. Hear new episodes first on Monday nights at 9pm ET/6pm PT on the Loudspeaker One live stream at https://www.loudspeaker.org or get our free mobile app. Available on demand on Tuesdays.

TWP 117: Connecting Deeper Through Music with Shannon Curtis

Shannon Curtis has been making music for 25 years—first, as the front-woman for a Christian-lite rock band in her twenties while a pastor’s wife, then as a chanteuse divorcée composing broken-hearted love songs after leaving both her marriage and her religion. In the last decade—as a result of constant house concert touring—Shannon developed both a passionate underground following and also an album-based songwriting style, centered around taking her audiences on intentional journeys of personal growth, connection, and healing. This remains true on her new 80s-inspired synthpop album, Good to Me, the animating questions behind which are: how will empathetic people survive the troubles of this time? And how we can rescue our overburdened spirits from overlapping disasters such as rising fascism and climate collapse? Shannon offers Good to Me as both a soundtrack and rallying cry for every person who knows that healing ourselves is the first step in healing the world. TWP 113: The Healing Journey with Andrea Stallsworth

Andrea Stallsworth is a wife, mama, daughter, sister, friend, and entrepreneur. But most importantly, she's a woman who's healing and growing. Rising from the ashes of a difficult childhood, bullying, low self-esteem, an abusive marriage, and single parenthood, she’s on a mission to share her story. Andrea was diagnosed with a hair-pulling disorder called Trichotillomania when she was twelve. This condition was ammunition for bullies during her growing-up years and became her full-time secret. After 30 years of keeping this secret, Andrea decided to share her story and free herself from the chains binding her. Since then, she’s been living her truth out loud! She’s been through a transformative journey, leaving her happier and freer than she has ever been. Andrea hopes to use her story to help people of all ages overcome the trauma that comes with bullying and self-hatred.
