For years, I believed I was destined to become what I came from. That mindset led me down a road of alcoholism, cocaine addiction, depression, and ultimately suicidal thoughts. I was convinced the cycle would continue through me just like it had for generations before me. But everything changed when I became desperate enough to cry out to God.
