Here's a real short episode. The shortest yet! Why? Why oh why? Because Montetre had a fart "machine" that totally disrupted the edit. You can find that gaseous compilation in an earlier release. Anyway... Polyester. Is it good? It's great! We might even say a few fun things. We're mostly idiots. About our 13th episode... Sean says:   Polyester is JW's second most important movie. A tour de force by Divine who was robbed of a Best Actress Oscar. Edith Massey is genius as Cuddles and even veteran Hollywood heartthrob Tab Hunter is pretty good. I love this movie more than just about any other movie that I know. It's everything right and wrong with America. And so high brow! Montetré says:   I thought farting would be a funny idea. Bahd fahn ess bahck.  The Reewr-oom.  We dahd eet.  ...Woof.  We brought spoons.  With 'Three Claps' we do our best to stray away from giving any major spoilers outside of our leading subject matter.  In other words: Please have watched ''The Room" before listening to/watching this episode. About our 11th episode... Sean says:   The Room is very special. A combination of insanely weird personality, absolutely no talent, and an unstoppable desire to tell an incomprehensible story that should never have been told results in a movie that under the most generous circumstances should have been stillborn but instead has survived the test of time. A spectacular train wreck that I will watch again and again. Montetré does a pretty good Tommy W impression. A little too good. Montetré says:   I got to play Johnny in a staged reenactment of this movie's original script.  It was the most fun I've ever had playing a character on stage.  Oh man, the entire cast was so wonderful to work with.  Much respect to them.  With every one of the 16 shows we did, the audience went fucking wild for this bonkers entity.  One day, I want to make a sequel where Johnny is rumored to be alive, and it would be called The Room-er.  It would also introduce a real love interest for Johnny, someone just as strange, including their own unidentifiable accent.  Then, I think the third movie would center around Johnny establishing a company that helps those who have been betrayed.  That movie would be called The Room-est. Our very first musical episode, and our first scripted opening.  How fun is this?  Bad fun.  With 'Three Claps' we do our best to stray away from giving any major spoilers outside of our leading subject matter.  In other words: Please have watched or read ''LOST HORIZON" before listening to/watching this episode. About our 10th episode... Sean says:   Lost Horizon brought together the best talent Hollywood had to offer who then, on purpose, produced this fantastic film nightmare set to a Bacharach score with 30% less racism than the original! I love this movie. I love that John Gielgud plays an Asian named Chang and I never miss a Liv Ulmann musical! Montetré says:   The original is as solid as a racist rock.  The remake is as wet as sloppy shit.  Which is more fun to have on a Slip n' Slide?  Many would choose sloppy shit over rocks, and I am no different.  The stink won't get off of you for some time, and telling folks about this musical will either garner or lose you friends, because it's not your normal musical.  Uncomfortable is probably the right word for it.   Music for THREE CLAPS is produced by Jordan Taylor Roach. THIS IS OUR BEST EPISODE YET.  FORREST HAS TRULY JOINED THE FOLD.  WHY THE FUCK DID WE PICK THIS MOVIE?   WE DON'T KNOW, BUT IT'S THE 9TH OF OURS'. . . EPISODE WISE. . .  LIKE BOZART.  WITH 'THREE CLAPS' WE DO OUR BEST TO STRAY AWAY FROM GIVING ANY MAJOR SPOILERS OUTSIDE OF OUR LEADING SUBJECT MATTER.  IN OTHER WORDS: PLEASE HAVE WATCHED "HAMLET 2" BEFORE LISTENING TO/WATCHING THIS EPISODE. About our 9th episode... Sean says:   Hamlet 2 doesn't suck.  Montetré thinks it is a lot better than I do.  And it seems to have had a big influence on him ("coo coo bananas" repeated not rarely).  Great acting all around from cast especially Steve Coogan without whom there would never have been a movie made of this stinker script written by Andrew Fleming and Pam Brady.  Andrew Fleming also directed for better or worse. Montetré says:   I wish I could explain why this movie makes so much sense to me, and I think we did that a bit here.  I do think H2 is an unsung hero of a musical... some weirdly heart-warming satire on those films where that good-hearted teacher tries to reach those seemingly unreachable kids, only this time through theatre and good ol' fashioned teamwork.  It's a foul-mouthed joy.
