Acerca de Wr!te That Down: When Vibes Aren’t A Strategy

Wr!te That Down unpacks the real dynamics of shared living—money, expectations, boundaries, and conflict. Millions share homes with partners, roommates, and co-owners. Almost none define how those arrangements actually work, relying only on assumptions. That’s where things break. Get clear before things get complicated. Hosted by Elexa Koblentz & Hilary Hebrank Dolce, the co-founders of ClauseIt (clauseit.com). Because “we’ll figure it out” works… until it doesn’t. #cohabitation #roommates #money #relationships #sharedliving #livingtogether #movingin #titlevi #titleix #newyork #ny #nyc

Wr!te That Down: Off-Campus Housing, Title VI, Title IX & Who’s Actually Responsible

Hosted by Elexa Koblentz & Hilary Hebrank Dolce, co-founders of ClauseIt (clauseit.com [clauseit.com]), Wr!te That Down: When Vibes Aren’t A Strategy is where shared living, relationships, money, and expectations finally get put in writing. Because vibes aren’t a strategy… you should probably Wr!te That Down. This episode is for you: if you’ve ever dealt with roommate drama, or felt intimidated for being who you are on campus or in a (university-owned/recommended) housing situation. College students are moving off campus in record numbers. But the moment they leave the dorm system, something changes that most students — and parents — don’t fully realize: The structure disappears. In this episode of Wr!te That Down, we unpack the growing legal and accountability gap in off-campus student housing, including what happens when university-recommended (or owned) housing doesn’t enforce university-level protections. We break down: * the difference between dorm protections and private leases * how Title VI and Title IX protections become more complicated off campus * what universities are—and aren’t—responsible for * why “university recommended” doesn’t necessarily mean “safe” * the rise in religious discrimination concerns on college campuses * and why students are often left navigating conflicts without a clear reporting structure or support system We also discuss the real stories and experiences that pushed us to build stronger anti-discrimination and behavioral expectation clauses directly into ClauseIt’s university housing agreements. Because the reality is: Your address may change off campus—but your rights, safety, and ability to access an education still matter. If the system doesn’t clearly define the structure, students are left relying on assumptions. And assumptions are not protections. As always, this isn’t about fear. It’s about clarity. 🛎️ New episodes weekly. 🎧 Follow & Rate Wr!te That Down on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen. #SharedLiving #Cohabitation #Adulting #WriteThatDown #vibes #scarystorytime #Roommates #Relatable #ForYou #fyp #trending #ClauseIt #nyc #relationship #realestate #housing #money #moneymatters #storytime #newyork #campuslife #campus #student #undergrad #gradschool #ny #offcampus #titlevi #jewishstudents #antisemitismoncampus #titleix #viral #collegelife #offcampushousing #studenthousing

Wr!te That Down: The Roommate Breakdown

Hosted by Elexa Koblentz & Hilary Hebrank Dolce, co-founders of ClauseIt (clauseit.com [clauseit.com]), Wr!te That Down: When Vibes Aren’t A Strategy is where shared living, relationships, money, and expectations finally get put in writing. Because vibes aren’t a strategy… you should probably Wr!te That Down. This episode is for you if: you’ve ever dealt with roommate drama, the guest who's overstayed their welcome, the group trip that's cost you a fortune, or the roommate that think their closet doubled the day they moved in. People think roommate problems start with one huge betrayal. Usually, they start with: * “Can I borrow this?” * “I’ll pay you back.” * “My partner’s just staying a few nights.” * “We’ll figure it out.” In Episode 4 of Wr!te That Down, Elexa and Hilary unpack how everyday shared living situations quietly shift from social dynamics into legal and financial ones — often long before anyone realizes it. Using Netflix’s “Roommates,” real-life roommate stories, and a few absolutely chaotic personal experiences, they break down: • Borrowed clothes, damaged property & unspoken expectations. • Shared trips, repayment timelines & informal debt. • Why receipts matter more than people think. • Guests overstaying & lease liability issues. • The psychology of resentment in shared spaces. • How “this always happens” changes a relationship dynamic. • Why assumptions are one of the biggest risks in shared living. Also featuring: * A sweater tragedy. * A loan shark joke that may or may not be legally binding. * Anna Delvey, Rachel Williams and the $62,000 tab to American Express * A dog described as “the canine Jackson Pollock.” * And one very important rule: text and email like it may one day be read aloud at a deposition. 🛎️ New episodes weekly. 🎧 Follow & Rate Wr!te That Down on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen. #SharedLiving #Cohabitation #Adulting #WriteThatDown #vibes #scarystorytime #Roommates #Relatable #ForYou #fyp #trending #ClauseIt #nyc #relationship #realestate #housing #money #moneymatters #storytime #newyork #campuslife #campus #student #undergrad #gradschool #ny #offcampus #viral #collegelife #offcampushousing #studenthousing

Wr!te That Down: Roommates From Hell

Hosted by Elexa Koblentz & Hilary Hebrank Dolce, co-founders of ClauseIt (clauseit.com [clauseit.com]), Wr!te That Down: When Vibes Aren’t A Strategy is where shared living, relationships, money, and expectations finally get put in writing. Because vibes aren’t a strategy… you should probably Wr!te That Down. This episode is for you if: you’ve ever dealt with roommate drama, shared bills, messy boundaries, passive-aggressive living situations, or the accidental third roommate. Your roommate’s boyfriend basically moved in. Your gluten-free Oreos disappeared. The utilities somehow became your financial responsibility. And now someone’s leaving passive-aggressive Post-It's instead of having an adult conversation. Welcome to Roommates From Hell. In Episode 3 of Wr!te That Down, we break down the real reason roommate situations implode — and spoiler: it’s usually not the dishes. It’s the unspoken expectations, financial resentment, endless guests, noise, food boundaries, and “clean” meaning wildly different things to different people. We cover: * the Venmo ghoster * the food thief * the “I’m clean” liar * the accidental third roommate * and why resentment builds brick by brick until someone snaps Plus: * Hilary’s aggressively enforced repayment policies * Elexa giving unsolicited “performance reviews” * why coffee creamer theft could qualify as a hate crime * and the actual conversations people should have before moving in together Because the best living situations aren’t built on vibes. They’re built on clarity. 🛎️ New episodes weekly. 🎧 Follow & Rate Wr!te That Down on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen. #RoommatesFromHell #RoommateFromHell #SharedLiving #Cohabitation #Adulting #WriteThatDown #vibes #scarystorytime #Roommates #Relatable #ForYou #fyp #trending #ClauseIt #nyc #relationship #realestate #housing #money #moneymatters #storytime #newyork #campuslife #campus #student #undergrad #gradschool #ny #offcampus #viral #collegelife #offcampushousing #studenthousing

Wr!te That Down: The Mechanics of Living Together

Hosted by Elexa Koblentz & Hilary Hebrank Dolce, co-founders of ClauseIt (clauseit.com [clauseit.com]), Wr!te That Down: When Vibes Aren’t A Strategy is where shared living, relationships, money, and expectations finally get put in writing. Because vibes aren’t a strategy… you should probably Wr!te That Down. This episode is for you if: you’ve ever considered sharing space with a roommate or significant other. Most people don’t have inherently bad roommates. They just never defined the rules. In this episode, we break down what actually makes shared living work—from money and rent splits to guest policies, cleaning expectations, and what happens when someone wants out early. Because the biggest issues aren’t dramatic—they’re predictable: * Unclear money expectations * Unspoken lifestyle differences * “Temporary” guests that never leave * And zero plan for when things change We dig into what a roommate agreement actually is, what a cohabitation agreement is (and isn't), and how they fit alongside your lease. We also explain why putting things in writing protects more than just your wallet—it protects your sanity. If you’re sharing space, money, or expectations with another person, this is the conversation you should’ve had before move-in day. However, it's never to late to turn the ship around. 🛎️ New episodes weekly. 🎧 Follow & Rate Wr!te That Down on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen. #SharedLiving #Cohabitation #Adulting #WriteThatDown #vibes #scarystorytime #Roommates #Relatable #ForYou #fyp #trending #ClauseIt #nyc #relationship #realestate #housing #money #moneymatters #storytime #newyork #campuslife #campus #student #undergrad #gradschool #ny #offcampus #viral #collegelife #offcampushousing #studenthousing

Wr!te That Down: Moving In Together? Why ‘We’ll Figure It Out’ Fails

This episode is for you if: you’ve ever considered sharing space with a roommate or significant other and didn't know where to start; chore charts, how to split bills, or that one parking space between two people. Moving in together feels like the next step—until it isn’t. Most couples and roommates don’t have a plan. They have a feeling. And that’s where things start to break. In this first episode of Wr!te That Down, we’re unpacking what actually happens when people move in together without clear expectations—and why “we’ll figure it out” is one of the most expensive assumptions you can make. We share our story—from “playing house” to “wait… what did we agree to?”—and the patterns we’ve now seen over and over again: * uneven rent and quiet resentment * breakups with no exit plan * friends falling out over shared expenses * and agreements that were never actually… agreed on Because here’s the truth: we draft contracts for jobs, businesses, and apps we barely use—but when it comes to who we live with, we wing it. This episode is about why that happens—and how to do it differently. We also introduce the idea behind ClauseIt: making real-life agreements simple, clear, and actually usable—whether you’re living with a partner, roommates, or anyone in between. If you’re thinking about moving in together—or already have—start here. 🛎️ New episodes weekly. 🎧 Follow & Rate Wr!te That Down on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen. #SharedLiving #Cohabitation #Adulting #WriteThatDown #vibes #scarystorytime #Roommates #Relatable #ForYou #fyp #trending #ClauseIt #nyc #relationship #realestate #housing #money #moneymatters #storytime #newyork #campuslife #campus #student #undergrad #gradschool #ny #offcampus #viral #collegelife #offcampushousing #studenthousing
