Episode 1 | "Navigating Relationships"

In today's world, discussions surrounding relationships are everywhere, especially among young people. As a Chinese cultural club at Columbia University in New York City, our mission is to foster a diverse community where individuals from various cultural backgrounds can come together to exchange insights on relationships, marriage, and family dynamics. We are thrilled to host a panel featuring six students spanning different academic years—ranging from freshmen to graduate and continued study students—representing a spectrum of ages and cultural heritages, including Vietnam, Mexico, Argentina, China, and the United States. Our discussions delve into the complexities of multicultural marriages, the challenges posed by cultural barriers, the pursuit of an ideal family dynamic, and strategies for achieving life balance while nurturing family life. Join us for an engaging exploration of these topics and more.

FireSide | Crowd, Love, and Loneliness (Mandarin Exclusive)

The city is a contradictory amalgamation of crowds, love, and loneliness. The bustling crowds and the ever-present loneliness that penetrates every inch of one's being seem to coexist seamlessly. In her diary of 1929, Virginia Woolf described a sense of inner loneliness that she thought might be illuminating to analyse, adding: "If I could catch the feeling, I would: the feeling of the singing of the real world, as one is driven by loneliness and silence from the habitable world." However, can loneliness truly prompt someone to contemplate grander questions? How should we live if we are not tightly entwined with another person? Can intimacy cure loneliness? In this episode of friends from Columbia University discuss memorable as well as lonely moments in New York City, as well as their varied experiences of love and intimacy in this metropolis.

Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
