PRF Panel: The Generational Gap at Origin

During the 2023 Producer Roaster Forum, Nick and Ricardo joined a panel with Julia Peixoto of Peixoto Coffee and Lucas Cuadros of Unblended Coffee to discuss the Generational Age Gap that is present among Colombian coffee producers. Together, they explore Julia's experience working closer with her family's farm in Brazil as well as some of the challenges that Colombian coffee producers are facing with a lack of young coffee producers involved at the farm level. With Unblended's work with young coffee producers, the group outlines some solutions that could potentially alleviate these challenges.

In his work, he pursued the objective of co-creating and sharing value with all supply chain actors, successfully growing a network of mutual benefit and exponential growth around the world. After five years with Ally Coffee, Bram has now moved back to his homeland in Europe to continue the journey of curiosity and take a deep dive in the world of coffee roasting. With Bram's experience as a green coffee buyer, he counts multiple stories and challenges he's faced professionally and has experienced on a systemic level across the industry. We'll discuss those challenges, his approach to tackling these challenges, and Bram's next moves as a coffee professional.

Dale Harris: Accessing the World of Flavor in Competition

During the 2023 Producer Roaster Forum, we had the privilege of speaking with Dale Harris. Dale is the 2017 World Barista Champion and the host of his very own Masterclass. After years of of traveling and competing in coffee, Dale has become a renowned leader in the coffee industry. Dale brings an interesting perspective to the various challenges we face when evaluating coffee not only in professional settings but also in competition.
