#7: How money allocation can protect future generations with Young-jin Choi

“We all have to play our parts as investors". Impact investing expert Young-jin Choi shared his views on the opportunities and challenges of investing in a positive way.In this episode, Miia Laine and Young-jin Choi discuss the impact of investments across multiple angles including how big part investing plays in the life of future generations. Some of the key takeaways include: Integrating impact into investment decisions - compared to the classical approach of only focusing on risk and return - would force investors to make a judgement whether the investment has a negative or positive impact on our planet. According to Young-jin Choi, negative externalities such as high emissions need to be quantified and made part of decision making processes to ensure the right incentives are in place to encourage reduction of emissions. A redefinition of our understanding regarding corporate responsibilities could help in taking into account long term environmental and social consequences as part of corporate mandates. Furthermore, the public sector - meaning governments & state controlled entities - should lead and be determined in their role to support low carbon emissions

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
