episode The Other-Wise Project: A Community Conversation cover

The Other-Wise Project: A Community Conversation

This is a live recording of a community conversation held at The GAP at the begining of October 2022. For this event we invited members of our communities, and participants on the programme, to gather together and explore the themes that emerged from The Other-Wise Project. We explore what it meant for young people to take control of their curriculum and create a curriculum for living, we then explore the idea of exclusion, and why exclusion is built in to the structure of institutional learning, and finally we explore the idea that if all schools had "What does a better world look like and how do we build it?” at its centre, what sort of learning might we structure? -------------------- As part of The GAP's 2022 programme, The Other-Wise Project [https://www.thegapartsproject.co.uk/theotherwiseproject] - a series of creative and participatory explorations with young people that explores, challenges and rethinks the old ideas that shape contemporary education. Funded by Arts Council England. Recored and produced by Sunny Singh. ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.

episode Just Another One Of Those Days cover

Just Another One Of Those Days

Just Another One Of Those Days - Written by Arron Singh Gill and Beth Slinn and performed by The GAP's Youth Theatre Why do we exclude people and then expect them to be part of society? When the school becomes a site of coercion and punishment, where else might we learn? These are two important questions that The GAP's Youth Theatre creatively and critically investigated when exploring the content of a new piece of writing that was especially commissioned for the Youth Theatre. The play follows a young boy from Balsall Heath as he seeks community and justice following his school exclusion. The play has been adapted for radio and is introduced by Arron Singh. Recorded and produced for audio by Kate Thompson. ------------- As part of The GAP's 2022 programme, The Other-Wise Project [https://www.thegapartsproject.co.uk/theotherwiseproject] - a series of creative and participatory explorations with young people that explores, challenges and rethinks the old ideas that shape contemporary education. Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
