The Next Generation: Season 6, Episode 7 Drunk Factor: 8 We finish up this dark “Plucky Kids” month with an actually light and whimsical episode, “Rascals”! Captain Picard, Ensign Ro, Keiko O’Brien, and Guinan all get turned into children, but with all of their memories intact. They choose to reject this gift and age themselves back to their actual ages, depriving themselves of decades of additional life in the process. DID THEY NOT THINK THIS THROUGH?! Plus, there’s some Ferengi stuff.

The Original Series: Season 3, Episode 4 Drunk Factor: 6 The increasingly inaccurately named “Plucky Kid” month continues! At this point, we should probably just rename it “Childhood Trauma” month, as this episode features five recently-orphaned, super-powered children who take over the Enterprise. It’s kind of a rehash of Charlie X, but with five ill-adjusted children instead of one and 100% less Shatner dick. We may end up crossing a line this month, you’ll have to listen to find out!

Voyager: Season 5, Episode 5 Drunk Factor: 3 Our “Plucky Kid” month continues with a very special Naomi Wildman episode of Voyager, “Once Upon a Time”! Through the antics of Flotter T Flotter Water III, we discover that children’s entertainment of the future is a dark, dark place.

Deep Space Nine: Season 6, Episode 22 Drunk Factor: Impulse Drunk Trek Host Chris has a terrible pet peeve for movies and TV shows, the “plucky kid”. He can’t stand them. So without further ado, here’s “Plucky Kid” month! We explore episodes where kids take front and center! But if you think that this will be a delightful romp, think again; this week we watch the unfortunate consequences of groupthink and megalomania. Fun!
