Today we talk about Protopop (Archpriest) Avvakum. The most famous opponent of the Nikonian reforms of the 17th century and a saint among the Old Believers.

Today we start a new mini series about Edinoverie: Old Believers that have united with the Russian Orthodox Church. We will go through the history of Edinoverie, its origin and challenges it faced. In future episodes, we will examine the situation on the eve of the Russian revolution as well as the modern situation.
