This week I want to draw your focus on the Holy Spirit’s anointing. Many of us are struggling to see who they are now in the Spirit, the Spirit’s anointing upon them and the ministry that they have been given. Throughout this teaching I desire you to recognize your place, your ministry, and your authority in Christ Jesus. This is our fourth part of our series on the Holy Spirit, a series in which we come to see ourselves as God sees us, a people for His own possession, chosen, a royal priesthood, ordained and consecrated unto the Lord through the precious blood of our Great High Priest, spilled for us, enabling us to approach the Most Holy (the throne room of God) with boldness and confidence. Speaking in tongues is possibly one of the most misunderstood and confusing topic on the Holy Spirit. Is speaking in tongues demonic? What does Scripture have to say about foreign languages and the use of tongues... is there a difference? How many tongues does Scripture identify, and what are their purpose? Can we freely speak in tongues? What happens when a believer edifies himself in the Spirit, and how does the Spirit intercede for them? This week we will take a closer look at tongues, analyzing controversies, as well as seeing how we can lay hold of this beautiful gift that draws us to a closer and more intimate relationship with the Father. This week we are starting a new series, we will be going over the foundational truths of the Holy Spirit; discussing topics such as the spiritual and natural manifestation, salvation vs the baptism of the Holy Spirit, taking a closer look at Jesus' walk in the Spirit, Who is the Holy Spirit, what is His role in us, the gifts that God has given us (healing, prophecy, miracles, etc.), finally overcoming culture and church traditions, understanding whether you've been "baptized" in the Holy Spirit, or have only been baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ, not having received the power of the Holy Spirit. Our study will cover a lot of Scripture, it is quite a lot, so I will provide everyone with all references and notes during the study. This is a crucial study series that will without a doubt radically change your life. Why is this important? We are called to live a supernatural life, a life being guided daily by God, a life manifesting the love of God, a life glorifying the Son through love and power. Christ has commanded us to preach the Gospel not only in words but also in deeds, so that the faith of those who come to Christ does not stand upon mere words of wisdom, but on the power of the Holy Spirit, on the power of God.
