Since the early 1980s, labor unions have faced catastrophic attacks from corporate America. While many unions have been defeated, teachers' unions still remain, in a crumbled form, as some of the last vestiges of American unionism. Why have teachers' unions, and unions in general, experienced significant declines in membership and political power? What can you do to help? In conversations with experts and union leaders, we contemplate the answers to these questions.

Episode 1 - The Issue at Hand

In this episode, I am joined by Nick Marcil to discuss the issue at hand: the decline in teachers' union membership and coverage since the early 1980s. We review the historical context of this decline and the factors possibly contributing to this decline.
