20 FolgenOne of the most famous alleged alien abductions occurred on November 5, 1975, in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in Arizona. Travis Walton, a logger and member of a seven-man crew, disappeared after all members of the crew witnessed a bright, saucer-shaped object hovering over their location. Walton claimed that as he approached the object, a beam of light suddenly appeared and knocked him unconscious. The case was extensively investigated, and the other crew members, who were initially suspected of foul play, were polygraphed and found to be truthful about their sighting of the UFO and Walton's disappearance.
