Mehr The Travis Caples Podcast
I am just a man trying to learn and grow as much as I can. Along my quest, I've discovered incredible people all around and I believe they are there for a reason - to help navigate this crazy life. My goal is to build an audience that is passionate about life, curious about change, and not bound by fear. I hope you’ll listen and enjoy as I attempt to tell the story of us.
#19: Nurture The Goose
Darrick Reid is a CHAMPION! Darrick is not just one of my Travis's best friend’s older brothers, he is a slinger of wings, a hiker, a runner, he spent some time in prison and time battling his demons, and he is an absolute badass! Travis was honored to have him on the podcast. They got to chat with him about facing adversity, having an infectious can-do attitude, and what it means to “nurture the goose.” I hope you enjoy this episode, which is out now, wherever you podcast these days.
#18: The Lost Year
After an abrupt end to Season 1 and a wild finale to our 2020 year, Travis returns to give some quick thoughts on loss, the state of the podcast, and hopefully some perspective for those navigating on their own journeys.
#17: The Conversation Nobody Asked Us To Have
Travis welcomes his friend Kevin Davi on the show. Kevin is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and has a meditation practice of over 10 years. He is an avid yogi, hiker, GOT and LOTR fan, and a sports junkie as well. Travis and Kevin rap about all sorts of things like Ego, life, and how really unimportant we all really are.
#16: Conserving Our Natural World
Travis welcomes Charles Tucker Herbert onto the show this week. Tucker is a long time friend of Trav's and has spent most of his life outdoors exploring and cementing his love for nature. Tucker parlayed his passion for the outdoors into a career in the Conservation Corps. The guys discuss Tucker's work, the spirituality he finds through working outdoors, and how he hopes to not only encourage others to get outside more but to help educate them in conservation and preservation tactics when doing so.
#15: You Are Not Alone
This week Travis is joined by his friend Christian Muma. Christian is a new father and a loving husband who is on his way to nearly 10 years sober after battling most of his life with an alcohol addiction. Christian wanted to share his story about living multiple lives, lying to himself and to loved ones, and finding strength through community. Most importantly Christian's focus is to help those struggling with their demons realize that they are not alone.
