"To Honor the Dead, You Got to Live": Roy Woolwine, The Frankie Woolwine Story Foundation

In this powerful and deeply moving podcast episode, Stock and Hicksy sit down with Roy Woolwine [https://www.linkedin.com/in/roy-woolwine-b7a0387/], who turned an unimaginable tragedy into a mission of hope. After losing his teenage son Frankie in a drunk-driving accident, Roy founded the Frankie Woolwine Story Foundation [https://thefrankiechallenge.org/]. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to warning high schoolers about the real, life-altering consequences of impaired driving. Roy tells Stock and Hicksy about his journey through grief, the community that supported him, and what pushed him to share Frankie’s story with high schoolers across the country and in the Richmond, VA area. His message has reached over four million students, inspiring them to make smart, life-saving choices. Thanks to a junior board made up of Frankie’s friends, strong community support, and Roy’s powerful message, the foundation has expanded its reach, all in the hope of preventing more tragic deaths. Roy also describes how losing his first wife affected Frankie and how we need to find someone to talk about our pain. Don't keep it in. Share it with others and seek healing, This is a podcast episode you won’t forget. Please share it with others who have lost a family member due to drunk or distracted driving.

"Resilience, Family, and Life Lessons": Marvin Bush, Winston Capital Management

Hicksy began this podcast by giving a shoutout to Kyle Benson, who is fighting lymphoma cancer at UVA Medical Center. Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. Stock and Hicksy then turn their attention to their podcast guest, Marvin P. Bush. He is a University of Virginia grad who grew up in a well-known political family, yes, his father was President George H.W. Bush, and his brother is President George W. Bush. Marvin talks about the stunning cancer diagnosis that his wife, Margaret, had when she was only six years old. He also describes his own serious health issue at 29 years old while on a business trip. Marvin shares how family support and faith carried him through adversity and shaped the values he lives by today. Resilience and loved ones make all the difference when tackling health challenges. A political upbringing gave Marvin a unique perspective on relationships and leadership. His education and athletics at Woodbury Forest and UVA left a lasting impact. Adoption was also a life-changing chapter for Marvin and Margaret. Successful businesses thrive when you surround yourself with capable people. Perspectives from The Magic Man: Jimmy Miller, The Miller Financial Group

Our guest was known as "The Magic Man". Jimmy Miller was a standout player for the University of Virginia Basketball team from 1981 to 1985. Jimmy was instrumental in leading the Cavaliers to the Sweet 16, Elite 8, and the 1984 Final Four, where he was named MVP of the Eastern Regional. Despite being heavily recruited by Duke, Jimmy chose UVA, where he played 132 games and became a beloved figure in college basketball. "THC in a Can: A New Kind of Seltzer": Blake DeMaso, Mountain High Seltzer Media

“It’s the first legal cannabis seltzer in Virginia,” says guest Blake Demaso of Mountain High Seltzer. But launching the THC-infused beverage wasn’t easy. “Finding a brewery was tough,” Blake admits. In this podcast episode, Blake breaks down how Mountain High Seltzer distributes their heavily regulated cannabis seltzer across the Commonwealth. Using strict guidelines, 2 mg of THC per can or a 25:1 CBD to THC ratio, compliance matters. This isn’t really a product for “stoners" either. It's a drink for the regular consumer. Even women and older adults are joining the customer base. Stock and Hicksy even question how the brand stands out in a crowded seltzer market—and Blake shares how a new flavor is coming soon. Plus, you will learn: 1. Why Blake isn’t a fan of their THC gummies 2. The real difference between Delta-9 and CBD 3. How many seltzers before you get the munchies? 4. Hicksy volunteers as a “product tester” (his wife’s out of town) No alcohol. Just a unique, fast-growing product and a fun conversation with the minds behind it. Our 50th Episode: Stock and Hicksy Talk about Themselves and It's Actually Interesting!

This is a huge moment for Stock and Hicksy: It is their 50th Podcast! They can't believe it, but it is a milestone they are proud of and also quite grateful to their guests and listeners. Hicksy recites some of their impressive metrics (48 guests, 9,622 downloads, 224 Spotify followers), but that is not what makes him and Stock happy about this accomplishment: It is the mix of guests from golf pros to a priest to authors to military and many more. It has been a great adventure interviewing all these folks and sharing their stories with our listeners. Their friend, Greg Wells, plays host and asks a wonderful variety of questions. You will hear about Stock and Hicksy's childhood, their influences, their worst jobs (Tom almost destroyed a diesel truck and Stock was burying electrical lines deep in the forest), their college experiences and studies, the moment they met their future wife, their motivations, their happy places and even their pet peeves (Hicksy hates it when people do this in a grocery store parking lot and Stock doesn't like it when people behave a certain way). Lastly, Greg hits them with several difficult surprise questions that almost leave them speechless. A heartfelt thank you to Antigua Threads [https://antiguathreads.com/] and Beck Cohen [https://www.beckcohen.com/] for their generous sponsorships. Most of all, we thank our listeners for their support. Just amazing! Now, on to the next 50 podcasts!
