Monday Morning Surf Report Virginia North Carolina Beaches Two to Three Foot Waves Sunny Skies

Good morning, this is your Monday morning surf report for the Virginia and North Carolina beaches brought to you by the National Weather Service. We're looking at a beautiful start to the week across the region, with mostly sunny skies and very high UV conditions across all our beaches. You'll want to slather on that sunscreen before heading out. Let's start up north with Maryland's Ocean City and Assateague beaches. We're expecting two to three foot waves this morning with northwest winds at ten to fifteen miles per hour. It's going to be pleasant with highs in the upper seventies. The rip current risk is low, though remember that life-threatening rips can develop near piers and jetties even on low risk days. High tide at Ocean City Pier comes in at eight oh six in the morning with low tide at two oh nine in the afternoon. Water temperatures are sitting in the upper sixties. Moving down to Virginia's Eastern Shore, Chincoteague, Wallops Island, and the barrier islands are looking similar with two to three foot surf and northwest winds ten to fifteen. The water here is a bit warmer though, hovering around seventy degrees. High tide at Wachapreague is nine fifteen in the morning, low at three twelve in the afternoon. Over at Virginia Beach and Sandbridge, we've got two to three foot waves with slightly stronger northwest winds around fifteen miles per hour. Water temperatures in the lower seventies. Virginia Beach hits high tide at eight twenty three in the morning, low at two eighteen in the afternoon. Finally, the Outer Banks up at Currituck are running around two feet with a slight chance of showers mixed in today. Northwest winds becoming northerly this afternoon. It'll be upper seventies for highs with lower seventies water temperatures. Now let's look ahead. Tuesday stays mostly sunny across the board with smaller surf around two feet. Conditions will be pleasant but a touch cooler in the lower to mid seventies. Wednesday brings a shift. We'll see partly sunny skies with a chance of showers moving in. Surf stays around two feet. Winds begin turning more southerly as a weather system approaches. Thursday is your big day if you're chasing waves. Surf builds to two to four feet across most locations, and we could see some occasional five foot sets, particularly up at Maryland. Mostly sunny skies and building heat with highs pushing into the eighties and even lower nineties down at Virginia Beach. South to southwest winds around fifteen to twenty miles per hour. Juneteenth Friday things get unsettled. Showers and thunderstorms move in across the region. Surf holds two to four feet with mostly cloudy skies. Highs in the low to mid eighties. Winds shift to the west around ten to fifteen miles per hour. The bottom line? Enjoy the next couple of days with gentle waves and sunshine. Thursday looks like your best day for some action in the water before the system moves through Friday. Stay safe out there and watch out for those hidden rips near structures. Virginia Beach Surf Forecast June 13-17: Sunny Start, Moderate Rip Currents Monday, Building Swell Thursday

Good afternoon, this is your Virginia Beach surf forecast for Sunday, June 13th through Thursday the 17th. Let's start with what's happening right now at Virginia Beach and Sandbridge. Sunday is shaping up to be a beautiful day at the beach, though it's going to be hot. We're looking at mostly sunny skies early, with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms moving in. Surf heights will be a modest two to three feet with a low rip current risk. Water temps are in the lower 70s, and highs will push into the upper 80s with a heat index climbing up to 100 degrees. South winds at 10 to 15 mph will keep things manageable. High tide hits at 7:26 AM, with low tide at 1:22 PM. Now here's something to pay attention to: Monday things change a bit. While surf stays in the two to three foot range, rip current risk bumps up to moderate. That means life-threatening rip currents are possible in the surf zone, so be aware of your surroundings, especially near piers and jetties. It'll be partly sunny and a touch cooler, with highs in the upper 70s and north winds around 10 to 15 mph. High tide is at 8:23 AM with low tide at 2:18 PM. Moving into the extended outlook, Tuesday brings mostly cloudy skies with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Surf drops to around two feet, with highs in the mid 70s and east winds around 10 mph. Wednesday continues the pattern with partly sunny conditions, a slight chance of showers, and highs in the lower 80s. Surf stays right around two feet. Now Thursday is where things get interesting. A low pressure system will pump up the surf to two to four feet, and we could see some dangerous breaking waves developing. It'll be mostly sunny with highs in the lower 90s and southwest winds ramping up around 20 mph. That increased surf combined with stronger winds could create a moderate to high rip current risk, so keep an eye on updated forecasts as we get closer. Bottom line: enjoy Sunday's mostly sunny start, stay sharp on Monday with the moderate rip current risk, and watch for developing swell late in the week. Portada del episodio Saturday Surf Forecast Virginia Outer Banks Two to Three Foot Waves Mostly Sunny Highs Near Eighty Degrees

Saturday Surf Forecast Virginia Outer Banks Two to Three Foot Waves Mostly Sunny Highs Near Eighty Degrees

Good morning everyone, and welcome to your Saturday surf forecast for Virginia and the Outer Banks. Starting down in Maryland, if you're heading to Ocean City or Assateague, you're looking at some pretty mellow conditions today. We're talking about two-foot waves with low rip current risk, though as always, stay aware near those groins and jetties where things can get a bit spicy. It's going to be mostly sunny with highs around eighty degrees and north winds shifting to the east this afternoon. The water's sitting in the upper sixties, so you might want to consider a light wetsuit if you're sensitive to the cold. High tide hits Ocean City Pier at six-sixteen in the morning, with low tide at twelve twenty-one in the afternoon. Heading south to Virginia Beach, we're seeing slightly larger surf at two to three feet today. The water's a touch warmer at around seventy degrees, and conditions remain mostly sunny with low rip current risk. Expect highs in the mid-eighties with northeast winds around ten miles per hour. High tide occurs at six twenty-six AM with low tide at twelve twenty-four PM. The UV index is very high everywhere today, so definitely slather on that sunscreen. Over on Virginia's Eastern Shore near Chincoteague and Wallops Island, conditions are similar with two to three-foot waves and low rip current risk. It'll be mostly sunny with highs near eighty degrees and north winds becoming southeast this afternoon. Water temps are hovering around seventy degrees. High tide at Wachapreague is seven twenty AM, with low tide at one nineteen PM. Up at the Outer Banks in Currituck, expect around two-foot waves today, mostly sunny skies, highs around eighty degrees, and northwest winds turning to the northeast this afternoon. The water's in the upper sixties, so it's going to feel refreshing out there. Now let's talk about Sunday, and this is where things get interesting. Down at Virginia Beach, we're looking at a chance of showers and thunderstorms developing, and temperatures are going to spike into the low nineties with a heat index potentially climbing to one hundred two degrees. That's hot folks. Bring plenty of water if you're spending the day outside. Surf stays one to three feet with south winds at ten to fifteen miles per hour. Over in Maryland and the Eastern Shore, expect partly sunny skies with similar one to three-foot waves and those same south winds. Chincoteague will see highs in the upper seventies, while the Outer Banks are looking at mid-eighties with a slight chance of some pop-up storms by afternoon. As we look ahead to the extended period, Monday brings two to three-foot surf across most areas with northwest winds around ten miles per hour. Highs will be in the mid to upper seventies, and we'll see partly sunny skies developing. Tuesday is when we really need to keep an eye on things. Moisture increases with mostly cloudy skies, and we're expecting chances of showers to increase across all forecasted beaches. Surf will be slightly smaller at one to two feet in most spots, and highs drop into the lower seventies. Wednesday rounds out our outlook with partly sunny skies, a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, highs in the mid-seventies to lower eighties, and southeast winds around five to ten miles per hour. Surf stays around two feet. One important reminder for everyone heading to the beach over the next few days: while rip current risk remains low today and Sunday, these dangerous currents often hide near groins, jetties, reefs, and piers, so always stay aware of your surroundings. And remember, surf heights greater than four feet typically signal dangerous breaking waves and can bump up that rip current risk to moderate or high, so we'll keep monitoring conditions closely. Overall, you're looking at a pretty decent beach weekend with manageable surf, mostly sunny skies today, and plenty of opportunities to get outside and enjoy the water. Just stay weather-aware Sunday with those potential storms and that heat, stay sun-safe, and we'll keep you posted if conditions change. Stay stoked and stay safe out there. Portada del episodio Virginia and North Carolina Beach Forecast: Perfect Saturday Ahead with Sunny Skies and Two to Three Foot Waves

Virginia and North Carolina Beach Forecast: Perfect Saturday Ahead with Sunny Skies and Two to Three Foot Waves

Good morning beach lovers! Let's dive into what's shaping up for the Virginia and North Carolina coastline this weekend. Today is looking absolutely stellar out there. We're talking mostly sunny to sunny skies across the board, with calm conditions and low rip current risk. The Maryland beaches and Virginia Beach are expecting surf heights around two feet, while the Eastern Shore and Outer Banks are pretty much the same story. Water temperatures are hovering in the upper 60s to around 70 degrees, so a wetsuit might be your friend if you're sensitive to the cold. Now here's the thing – and I want you to pay attention to this – we've got a very high UV index today. That means sunscreen is not optional, folks. We're looking at heat indices climbing up to 104 degrees down in Virginia Beach, so hydration is absolutely critical. Southwest winds at 10 to 15 miles per hour should provide some relief, but this is serious heat. Stay safe out there. Saturday is going to be a beauty. Conditions improve with mostly sunny skies, and we're looking at a slight bump in surf heights to two to three feet, which should make for some interesting conditions depending on where you are. The winds are shifting to the north and northeast, creating a slightly different wave pattern. It'll be a touch cooler with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s, making for much more comfortable beach time. Looking ahead to the extended outlook, Sunday brings a chance of showers and some thunderstorm activity developing, particularly down toward the Outer Banks and Virginia Beach. Surf heights stay in that one to three foot range, so nothing too aggressive. Highs in the mid 80s should feel pleasant compared to today's heat. Monday is going to be partly sunny with showers and thunderstorms remaining possible, especially in the southern zones. Surf continues at two to three feet with highs in the lower 80s. The winds shift back to the north, so that'll keep things relatively settled. By Tuesday, we're looking at mostly cloudy skies with showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms. Surf heights drop back to around two feet, and highs settle into the upper 70s. This is when you really want to be thinking about what's going on with the weather before you head out. The bottom line for this weekend is this: today is absolutely scorching with excellent conditions in the water but brutal heat on the beach. Saturday is going to be your golden ticket – comfortable conditions, decent waves, and much more manageable temperatures. Just remember that if you ever venture into the water, rip currents can develop near structures like groins, jetties, and piers even when the risk is low. Get out there and make the most of this weekend! For more http://www.quietplease.ai Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

Virginia Beach Outer Banks Surf Forecast Small Waves Upper Eighties Heat Index Over 100 Degrees Today

Good morning, this is your surf zone forecast for Virginia and the Outer Banks, brought to you by the National Weather Service Wakefield. Starting with the Maryland Beaches including Ocean City and Assateague, we're looking at small but consistent waves today. You can expect surf heights of two to three feet with a low rip current risk. The water is chilly at upper sixties, so if you're planning a dip, you might want to bring a wetsuit. We're forecasting partly sunny skies with southwest winds around ten miles per hour. High temperatures will reach the upper eighties, though the heat index could climb to around one hundred four degrees, so stay hydrated out there. The UV index is very high today, which means sunscreen is absolutely essential. At Ocean City Fishing Pier, low tide hits at ten thirty-two in the morning, with high tide rolling in around five in the evening. Moving down to the Virginia Eastern Shore at Accomack and Northampton, including Chincoteague and Wallops Island, conditions remain quite similar. Two to three foot waves today with mostly sunny weather, though a bit milder in the mid eighties. Southwest winds around ten miles per hour will keep things pleasant, and the water temperature sits in the upper sixties. Low tide at Wachapreague comes at eleven twenty-five in the morning. Over at Virginia Beach and Sandbridge, the forecast stays consistent with two to three foot surf and low rip current risk. However, it's noticeably warmer here with highs in the lower nineties and a heat index potentially reaching one hundred six degrees. The water is a bit more comfortable at around seventy degrees. Southwest winds will shift to the south in the afternoon. Low tide occurs at ten thirty-one in the morning, with high tide at five oh three in the evening. Finally, up at the Outer Banks in Currituck County, we're expecting around two foot waves under sunny skies. Highs in the upper eighties with that heat index reaching one hundred five degrees. The water here is the coolest at mid-sixties, and southwest winds will be a bit stronger at ten to fifteen miles per hour. Looking ahead to Friday, we see a consistent pattern across all beaches. Surf heights drop to around two feet with mostly sunny to sunny conditions. Rip current risk remains low everywhere. Expect slightly stronger heat indices, particularly at Virginia Beach and Currituck where we could see one hundred six and one hundred four degrees respectively. Southwest winds will be lighter, running five to ten miles per hour. For the extended period, Saturday brings us mostly sunny weather with around two foot surf. Things cool down a bit with highs in the lower eighties and north winds around five to ten miles per hour. Sunday introduces the possibility of showers and thunderstorms across all areas with two to three foot waves expected and south winds returning around ten miles per hour. By Monday, we're back to partly sunny skies with another chance of showers, particularly at Virginia Beach and the Outer Banks where thunderstorms are possible. Surf heights remain around two feet and highs settle in the mid eighties. Remember, even with low rip current risk, life-threatening rip currents can still occur near groins, jetties, reefs, and piers. So exercise caution in those areas. Stay sun-safe, stay hydrated, and we'll see you at the beach. For more http://www.quietplease.ai Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta
