S4E5: Sabbath Rest - A Palace in Time

Welcome back to The AUSA Podcast! Today, Luke and Brenna sit down to chat a bit about Rest to try and help re-orient our mindsets heading into break. Luke talks through some ideas from Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel's wonderful little book, "The Sabbath," like how the Sabbath is a palace in time and not only that, but a person who is with and within us (Matthew 11:28-30); how it's holistic to all that a person is and doesn't just heal or minister to the spiritual or the physical, but both; and how rest can look differently for everyone! Brenna and Luke give some examples of how they rest and what rest does for them. If you enjoyed this episode or anything we talked about peaked your interest, we'd love to start a conversation! Do us a favor and share it with your friends, and if you have thoughts or questions you can DM us on Instagram @au411. S4E4: Psalm 16, Psalm 27, and "The Comfortable Words"

Welcome back to The AUSA Podcast. Life doesn't always feel easy, and lately, it seems like it's felt pretty hard for a lot of people. As we were brainstorming this week's episode, we noticed that the tone of our team and our campus has felt really heavy the past two weeks. Because of that, Brenna and Luke decided to sit down and read some Scripture over anyone who needs it. They read Psalm 16 and Psalm 27, and future-Luke reads The Comfortable Words, a few sentences from throughout Scripture that remind us of the comfort found in the Gospel. Editor's note: Hey, Luke here. I cried a little while reading Psalm 16. I wanted to leave it in because 1) let's normalize guys crying and 2) right now my heart is not glad, and Scripture, the psalms especially, is not supposed to be neat and tidy, it isn't always supposed to be happily read and regarded, and it definitely doesn't shy away from our emotions. So we shouldn't either. If you enjoyed this episode or anything we talked about peaked your interest, we'd love to start a conversation! Do us a favor and share it with your friends, and if you have thoughts or questions you can DM us on Instagram @au411. S4E2: Galvanize, galvanize, galvanize!

Welcome back to The AUSA Podcast! This week, Brenna is out, so Luke sits down with fellow CATs, Lucy Peacock and Drew Correll to talk about The Working Genius strength, "Galvanize." Galvanizers often bring energy to a team dynamic, and they posses the natural gift of rallying, inspiring, and organizing others to take action. They talk about being galvanizers, about the other types of working genius, and about why it is important to know the ways you work with others well. Thanks for listening! We'll see you next week.
