In today's episode, I have my wife and best friend, Holly Ann Merrell, with me! This is technically her "2nd" time on the podcast, but the first go was with our 7-month old, Joy. Holly deserved her own episode without the distraction of our sweet little baby girl :)
We dive into the vulnerable and honest journey of Holly's personal growth and the transformation she's experienced over this past year! We also talk about the most important factor to our marriage relationship growing deeper and more connected than ever before!
Throughout the convo, you'll hear about the challenges we've faced—from discomfort in spiritual practices like praying together to dealing with daily conflicts, anxiety, and misunderstandings that many couples may find familiar.
Holly opens up about her path to transformation, the changes she's experienced from counseling to Crossfit, and her continued growth personally and in our marriage. But this isn't just a story about struggles; it's one of hope, learning, and spiritual and relational breakthroughs. We'll talk about how we've moved from awkwardness to deep spiritual intimacy through consistent prayer and the way we've seen faith transform not just our own lives but our marriage as well.
We've nearly reached 20 years of friendship (11+ years of marriage), and take a back at the last 48 weeks for Holly and an impactful year for myself. Together, we'll reflect on what it means to reinforce commitment in marriage, the support needed for growth, and the joy of looking forward to the future with hope and anticipation of what the Lord has in store for us.
