Acerca de The Lordship of Christ

Welcome to The Lordship of Christ podcast. I am your host, Joe. And here we take the unchanging Word of God and apply it to the shifting realities of our world. The truth of God’s Word brings Hope, direction, and strength to everyday life. And when Christ Jesus is Lord overall, no part of your life is left unchanged. Life is a battleground for the soul, and only under the Lordship of Christ will we stand.

The Westminster Shorter Catechism - Question 7 : What Are The Decrees of God?

Welcome to this short catechism study. Join me every Sunday morning as we go through one question and answer. The Westminster Shorter Catechism was written in the mid-1600s by the Westminster Assembly, a group of pastors, theologians, and leaders gathered to bring clarity and reform to the church according to Scripture. Completed between 1646 and 1647 and approved in 1648 in London, this catechism contains 107 questions and answers designed to clearly teach the core truths of the Christian faith—even to those with a simple, childlike understanding. Each question builds on the last, helping us think carefully, biblically, and deeply about who God is and why we exist. This isn’t just about memorizing answers. It’s about shaping how we think, grounding what we believe, and learning to see God more clearly through His Word. We’ll take it one question at a time.

former_robot : The Temptation to Worship Technology : AI and the Modern Idol

I didn’t realize my mind was being trained until I tried to think differently. I thought I was choosing what I believed, what I wanted, what I did. But most of it... was already decided by what I consumed. There are two voices shaping you every day, the world, and the Word of God. One is loud, fast, constant, and it promises happiness through escape and pleasure. The other is quiet, steady, and true and comes to us in only one way a Jesus. The other builds matrixes out technology, entertainment, pride, and selfish emotions to keep you from God. To keep you plugged into the system. To Keep you sleep. You don’t just have a mind, your mind is being trained. Every scroll... every song... every video... every movie... Is shaping how you think and how you act. And whichever one you sit under will shape the person you become. I didn’t realize I was being programmed, until I started trying to renew my mind. I am former_robot
