Diamonds & Hash: Cannabis Concentrates with The Bubbleman & Diamonds by Douglas

Potcast S2 E12 - Diamonds & Hash: Cannabis Concentrates with The Bubbleman & Diamonds by Douglas     On this episode of The Potcast with Ross Rebagliati, we’re talking to some folks who have made a name for themselves by separating the cannabinoids and terpenes from the cannabis plant and turning them into highly concentrated forms for consumption, specifically bubble hash, rosin and diamonds.    The legendary “Bubbleman” Marcus Richardson, creator of Bubble Bags and Hash Church, regales us with potent tales of his longtime love affair with bubble hash. And, we’ll talk to Ryan Douglas, the guy credited with introducing the Canadian recreational cannabis market to solventless diamonds with his brand, Diamonds by Douglas.      Grab your dab rig and turn up the volume… we’re about to concentrate hard on cannabis concentrates.     About Marcus “Bubbleman” Richardson - Founder of Bubble Bags & Hash Church  X & IG: @bcbubbleman  youtube.com/bcbubbleman [http://youtube.com/bcbubbleman]  bubblebag.com  bubblemanbrandusa.com     Meet Marcus "Bubbleman" Richardson, a pioneering entrepreneur and hemp activist since 1993. From securing the first legal hemp field in Manitoba in 1995 to advancing medical cannabis extraction methods, Marcus has left an indelible mark. His journey includes affiliations with the British Columbia Compassion Club Society, Founder at Embark Health Inc, Partner at Whistler Technologies specializing in large scale equipment for bubble hash production, and the establishment of FreshHeadies, Ltd., known for the world's first eight-bag water extraction kits. As well as consulting within the field he lends a hand on equipment acquisition and build outs, Marcus' expertise further reaches to cannabis macro photography, featured in National Geographic and other renowned magazines. As an educational speaker and advocate, he has shared insights at conferences worldwide. Marcus continues to explore the medicinal value of cannabis and, in 2014, initiated research in Jamaica to study the effects of different strains on human ailments. In 2017, he embarked on a global venture, branding his full melt hash and establishing processing facilities in three countries, showcasing his innovative dry sift and wet wash methods. Marcus also runs his bubbleman brand throughout Canada and the US in over 7 states.    About Ryan Douglas - Founder of Rosin Unity & Diamonds by Douglas   @Diamonds_by_Douglas     Ryan Douglas started his journey making rosin in 2016 using a hair straightener. He is one of the creators and founders of Rosin Unity, software developed for rosin production, which launched in 2018 at the Okanagon Cannabis Cup just before legalization in Canada. Ryan worked with Kam at Camp River to be the first to bring solventless diamonds to the legal rec market in Canada.    About Ross Rebagliati    Ross Rebagliati is a Canadian snowboarder who won a gold medal in the men’s giant slalom event at the 1998 Winter Olympics. A positive cannabis test led the International Olympic Committee to strip him of his medal, but the decision was overruled in appeals court two days later because cannabis was not on the list of banned substances. For that reason, Ross’ medal is the only Olympic medal to have ever been returned.     Since then, Ross has become an outspoken cannabis advocate and entrepreneur. He was featured in the July 14, 2008 edition of Sports Illustrated, which profiled his life since his Olympic win.     About Ripco Processing   https://www.ripco.pro [https://www.ripco.pro/]    Ripco Processing is at the forefront of medical and recreational cannabis innovation with a focus on CBD and THC products.     Humans have been consuming cannabis for thousands of years. While traditional methods of consumption will always stand the test of time, Ripco is continuously developing new and innovative ways to enjoy Canada’s favourite herb for a more consistent, convenient and enjoyable experience.    The Ripco Processing family of brands includes Stick It, a clean burning, innovative stick that infuses pre-rolls with cannabinoids; Strip It, an edible cannabis product similar to a breath strip that dissolves quickly on the tongue; Ross’ Gold premium cannabis and pre-rolls; and Ovation topical cannabis products.     Ripco Processing operates a licensed micro processing facility in Calgary, Alberta.    Potcast Credits    Hosts: Ross Rebagilati & Don Shafer    Guests: “The Bubbleman” Marcus Richardson (Bubble Bags/Hash Church), Ryan Douglas (Diamonds by Douglas/Rosin Unity)    Producer: John Masecar  Showrunner / Writer: Jessica Grajczyk    #bubblehash #cannabisconcentrates #rosin

Forget THC - Let’s Talk Terpenes

Potcast S2 E11 - Forget THC - Let’s Talk Terpenes THC has been dominating the conversation around cannabis since legalization, but it’s starting to lose steam as people realize this plant has much more to offer than its potency.  That’s why this episode of The Potcast with Ross Rebagliati is dedicated to terpenes – the natural chemical compounds that not only contribute to the flavours and aromas of your favourite cannabis cultivars, but may also contribute to how they make you feel… things that should factor into your purchasing decisions. We’ll hear from self-proclaimed terpene enthusiasts on why these compounds are so fascinating, and Ross chats with John Streicher, a professor and researcher from the University of Arizona whose important work is revealing even more reasons why terpenes should be taking the spotlight when we talk about the power of this plant. It turns out they might have the potential to play a surprising role in the fight against the opioid crisis. Get ready – this episode may blow your mind!
