Tony “Doc Dog” Baker - Becoming A Las Vegas & Tattoo Legend

Tony “Doc Dog” Baker is a tattoo artist of 65+ years. Founder and owner of Las Vegas Tattoo Co. est. 1977. Learning to tattoo at the age of 13 while incarcerated in the California Youth Authority, Doc Dog’s entire life has been about tattooing. He opened the first tattoo shop in the San Fernando Valley in 1972. Wanting to move to Nevada, he helped the Nevada Health Department establish the first tattoo laws for the entire state. He opened Las Vegas Tattoo Co. on July, 13th 1977 and was the only tattoo shop in the city for 13 years. In 2000, Las Vegas Tattoo Co. moved to Longview, Texas and in 2003 to Ybor City, Florida where it has remained ever since. Doc has become a legend in the tattoo world befriending the likes of Bert Grimm, Philadelphia Eddy, Bob Shaw, Col. Todd, Zeke Owens, Cliff Raven and more. Doc has opened international locations in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, London, England and Siegburg, Germany. This episode is in memory of Colt Baker 2/11/86 - 1/12/24. Josh Weaver - Why Baseball Transcends Generations & Cultures

Josh Weaver is the curator of the Tampa Baseball Museum. The Tampa Baseball Museum is housed in Hall of Famer Al Lopez’s childhood home. It is one of only four museums in the country that is a former Major League Baseball player’s house. Al Lopez was the first Major League Baseball player, manager and Hall of Famer from Hillsborough County. He played Major League Baseball for 19 seasons and managed for 18. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1977. The Tampa Baseball Museum offers history and historical pieces from all of the teams that have played in Tampa and its baseball history since the late 1880’s. John Montesi - Being A 1990's Professional Skateboarder

John Montesi is a pro skateboarder and owner of Westside Skateshop. Learning to skate at age 13, John earned his first sponsorship with Exile at 16. He turned pro just three years later in 1992. Signing with New Deal, John quickly started touring the world at 19 years old. Touring five continents, John would perform demos across the world including at concerts and festivals like Lollapalooza and Big Day Out. John would release 28 pro skateboard models and be featured in several magazines including Thrasher, Skateboard!, Rad and Big Brother. He has owned Westside Skateshop since 1997 and sponsors a team of riders. In 2023 he was inducted into the Florida Skateboard Hall of Fame.
