Ep. 004| Sean Ewen: Early beginnings, dealing with med school debt, and working with big hospitals,

itunes pic [https://assets.podomatic.net/ts/6c/ea/50/contact48222/3000x3000_12345137.jpg] "Start noticing pain points in your patients' lives, in your colleagues' lives... Who better to solve some of the problems that the patients and providers are facing than physicians themselves?"  --Sean Ewen To me, Sean is somewhat of a legend in the small but strong physician entrepreneur network. He batched all of his vacation time together as a third year medical student and went full-out working on consulting and implementation projects for EMR's. After making enough money to convince him that he could do this full-time, he decided not to apply for the match. He has been a full-time entrepreneur ever since.

Ep. 002| Neal Dharmadhikari: Running a business on the side while being a doctor and the creation process

itunes pic [https://assets.podomatic.net/ts/6c/ea/50/contact48222/3000x3000_12345137.jpg] Neal is a unique guest (for this podcast) in that his long term goals are not to become a full time entrepreneur. He loves what he does as a resident and pursues entrepreneurial ventures for fun and to make some extra money. This will be a great podcast episode for Doctors, Residents, and Medical Students who don't want to leave their current career behind but would like to have a little business on the side. As Neal recounts the story of starting his own business, he subtly underscores many important lessons that will be helpful for anyone trying to do the same. Take a listen and let me know what you think of it. WARNING: This was actually the very first podcast episode that I recorded and the audio came through poorly on Neal's side unfortunately. However, I thought that he fit a unique niche and had important things to share with those who seek to create a similar system, so I uploaded the interview anyways.

Ep. 003| Parth Shukla: Running a Business in residency, being different, and the courage to break outside of the box

itunes pic [https://assets.podomatic.net/ts/6c/ea/50/contact48222/3000x3000_12345137.jpg] Parth is one of the creators of Perfect H&P (a tool for medical students) and Beenthru (an online networking platform where aspiring people can find mentors who have gone to a certain school or attained a certain profession and can help them complete tasks and achieve very specific goals).  He started both of these businesses as a medical student at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School of Rutger's University. He's currently an emergency medicine resident. In this interview we talk about how Parth started his businesses and the things he learned in the process. We touch on a blog post that he wrote which you can read here. Parth is a really fun guy to interview because he has great energy and you can tell that he loves innovation and entrepreneurship. This is a great interview with fun stories, inspiring thoughts, and helpful advice. Hope you enjoy!

Ep. 001| Paul Hines: How to follow your passion, the culture of modern medicine, and walking away from being a doctor

itunes pic [https://assets.podomatic.net/ts/6c/ea/50/contact48222/3000x3000_12345137.jpg] Paul Hines is the creator of Dose Health. Paul has been making a big splash in the med-tech industry after leaving residency a couple years ago to put full focus into his startup. In this episode we talk about how to follow your passion, the culture in modern medicine, and what its like to walk away from a career as a physician. Paul is not only someone I greatly respect as an entrepreneur but he's also a really nice guy which makes interviewing really easy. This episode is full of fun stories, actionable advice, and helpful guiding principles. Hope you enjoy!
