The Serpent in the Fence

Break God’s fences and you don’t find freedom you find a serpent waiting. Scripture warns that those who tear down God’s boundaries carry judgment inside the act itself, just as surely as a snake hides in a broken hedge. Our age celebrates fence-breaking as liberation, but it only leads to death and ruin. The calling of God’s people isn’t to follow the trespassers, but to repair the fences, proclaim His truth, and live in the joy and peace of obedience. Life is on one side of the fence and death on the other.'

A Word of Rebellion

A common complaint today is: “A good God couldn’t allow that to happen,” as if God must conform to our personal standard of goodness or be judged guilty. Yet the real problem lies not with God but with our rebellious hearts like a spoiled child who screams, “You don’t love me!” when denied his demands. In truth, a world in open rebellion against its Creator is neither safe nor easy; it is a fallen place full of penalties, risks, and suffering. We lock our doors and live with danger precisely because this is not heaven. Scripture gives us our marching orders: we are called to bring every realm into captivity to Christ, until the triumphant day when “the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever” (Rev. 11:15). Until that glorious victory, the Lord will not let a rebellious world become a comfortable haven for sin. Thieves and Robbers

Jesus made an uncompromising claim: truth is exclusive, and salvation is found in Him alone. Our age recoils at that idea, preferring a tolerant blur where right and wrong, truth and error, are treated as interchangeable. But truth doesn’t bend just as eight can never be greater than fifteen, lies can never coexist with truth. When societies excuse falsehood and criminality while punishing honesty and faithfulness, the harvest is predictable. Truth either governs us, or it destroys us. The question isn’t whether truth is exclusive it’s whether we’re willing to live by it.

Planting Thorns and Thistles

A nation always harvests what it plants. When good work is punished and idleness is rewarded, the result is inevitable: thorns instead of fruit. Scripture is blunt no one gathers grapes from thistles. Yet we increasingly tax productive men into the ground while subsidizing irresponsibility and disorder. The small, land-owning farmer has long been one of the most productive forces in society, but he is treated as obsolete while dependency is financed and protected. Destroy the vines, plant the weeds, and don’t be surprised when the harvest fails.

The Vengeance of God

God’s vengeance is not an arbitrary punishment imposed from outside it is the unavoidable outcome of sin itself. Scripture teaches that blessings overtake obedience and judgment overtakes rebellion, just as surely as a fall follows a leap from a cliff. Men and nations who reject God’s way are not escaping judgment; they are choosing its consequences. God is truly loving and gracious, but He is also just, and to deny His judgment is to replace the living God with a false one. The warning is clear: sin carries its own inescapable end.
