Overture of a New Age | Episode 4
After the party met The Thespians and learned of some of the trouble that the troupe was having with their security team, they found themselves following a lead given to them from the leader of The Thespians, Okrim LeFort. That lead led them back to the Pop-Up Bar, which had taken more of a... vampiric vibe (much to Breakspear's delight?) to confront a member of The Thespians' security team, Boomyzoomy.
After Boomyzoomy left the party with an ominous message in regards to the safe future of The Thespians, and after Frank, the monstrous half-man half-plant leftovers of Hedera's tree that's somehow clung to life, gave Jin a lead on how to access Jacob's hotel room, the party decided to split up-- Jin and Orlenna went to warn The Thespians of potential danger, and Breakspear and Hedera went to investigate Jacob's hotel room in the city.
As Hedera and a silver-tongued Breakspear found themselves on a mostly tedious affair finding only a message from Ricard to Jacob, Orlenna and Jin found themselves delivering news of danger that had already come! They found Ricard, The Thespians bound and gagged, and a few underlings assisting Ricard that wore the familiar robes of monks from Jin's home, Hermit's Hollow.
After a long fought battle, leaving Jin and Orlenna nearly killed, the rest of the party rejoined them, chasing Ricard off and saving everyone in the process. And although they didn't catch Ricard, Okrim was so impressed that he saw to it that the party got promoted to be the new personal security team of The Thespians. But why did Ricard capture The Thespians to begin with? How was the old security team involved? And what about the Hermit's Hollow Monks? Is Jacob not who he seemed to be? Perhaps there will be more answers in Episode 4...
