Episode 06.14.2026 - God Sightings Cover

06.14.2026 - God Sightings

What might change if we stopped moving through life focused only on our own plans and began noticing the people God places around us? In “God Sightings,” Pastor Tim Franklin challenges believers to look beyond everyday distractions and see others as Jesus sees them—people who may be hurting, searching, or in need of the hope of the gospel. Using the idea of “target fixation,” he explains how easily our attention can become centered on ourselves while we overlook opportunities to encourage someone, share our faith, or simply start a meaningful conversation. Through Peter’s bold witness on the Day of Pentecost, this message reminds us that God can overcome our fear and give us the words we need. We are not responsible for saving people, but we are called to faithfully share Jesus and trust the Holy Spirit to work. As you go through the week, look for “God sightings”—moments when God is moving, opening a door, or drawing your attention toward someone who needs His love. This message was recorded at Living Hope Fellowship, a Baptist church in Denison, Texas. We believe the Bible is God’s Word and that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the hope we all need. 06.07.2026 - A Visit from The Gideons International & Low Power Mode - Part 2

You’re listening to Anchored in Hope, the weekly sermon podcast from Living Hope Fellowship in Denison, Texas, where our prayer is that God uses His Word to steady you, encourage you, and anchor you in hope. In Part 2 of “Low Power Mode,” Living Hope Fellowship welcomes guest speaker David Lowdermilk, a representative of The Gideons International [https://gideons.org/], to share how the simple gift of God’s Word can change a life—and even transform an entire family. Through the moving story of a fifth-grade boy named Otis, we hear how receiving a small New Testament at school sparked a desire to attend church and began a journey of faith. Though Otis’s life was tragically cut short by cancer, his faith in Christ impacted his entire family, leading many to salvation and leaving a lasting testimony of God’s grace. His story is a powerful reminder that the Bible is more than a book—it is the living Word of God, carrying the power to reach hearts, renew hope, and lead people to Jesus Christ. David also shares about the ongoing ministry of The Gideons International and their mission to place God’s Word into the hands of people around the world, especially children and students who may never otherwise hear the gospel. Pastor Tim Franklin then continues the “Low Power Mode” series with a message on spiritual recharge. Drawing from Matthew 11:28–30, he reminds believers that even faithful Christians can become spiritually exhausted. Just as God established rhythms of rest and Jesus Himself withdrew to pray, we too need times of renewal in God’s presence. This message offers practical encouragement for those running on “low power mode,” including admitting our struggles to God, seeking wise counsel, taking needed rest, addressing anything disrupting our peace with God, building intimacy through Scripture and prayer, and learning to wait on the Lord for renewed strength. Whether you feel spiritually energized or completely worn out, Jesus still extends the same invitation: “Come to Me… and you will find rest for your souls.” If this message spoke to you, we’d love to help you take the next step. Whether that means learning more about following Jesus, coming back to church, joining a Bible study, or simply having someone pray with you, you don’t have to do life alone. This message was recorded at Living Hope Fellowship, a Baptist church in Denison, Texas. We believe the Bible is God’s Word and that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the hope we all need. If you're anywhere near the Texoma area, we'd love to meet you in person. To learn more about our church, view service times, or plan a visit, go to livinghopedenison.com [www.livinghopedenison.com]. Episode 05.31.2026 - Low Power Mode Cover

05.31.2026 - Low Power Mode

What happens when we live as though our spiritual battery is running low—even though the Holy Spirit lives within us? In this Family Worship Day message, Pastor Tim Franklin invites both children and adults to consider how often we operate in “low power mode” instead of living in the fullness of God’s power. Looking at Acts 2 and the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, Pastor Tim contrasts the fearful disciples hiding behind closed doors with the bold witnesses they became after being filled with the Spirit. The same Holy Spirit who empowered the early church lives in every believer today, giving strength, courage, and the words we need to share the hope of Jesus. Using the familiar image of a phone battery and charger, this message challenges us to stop suppressing the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Rather than conforming to the world or relying on our own strength, we are called to live as living sacrifices—allowing God to renew our minds and work through us every day of the week. If you’ve ever felt spiritually drained, fearful, or burned out, this message is a reminder that God has not left you powerless. His Spirit is alive and at work in His people. This message was recorded at Living Hope Fellowship, a Baptist church in Denison, Texas. We believe the Bible is God’s Word and that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the hope we all need. Episode 05.24.2026 - Praise on Pentecost Cover

05.24.2026 - Praise on Pentecost

In this Pentecost Sunday message, Pastor Tim Franklin reminds us that Pentecost is more than a historic church moment. It is a day of celebration, marking the coming of the Holy Spirit, the birth of the church, and the power of God working in believers. Looking at Acts 2, Pastor Tim connects Pentecost to the first fruits harvest, Israel’s deliverance from bondage, and the giving of the law, showing how each is fulfilled through Christ and the Holy Spirit. This message encourages believers to remember that the Holy Spirit seals us, frees us from slavery to sin, convicts us, guides us into truth, and equips us to share Jesus with others. Pastor Tim challenges listeners to spend the week reading Psalm 145–150 and intentionally “heap praise” on God each day, not asking for anything, but simply worshiping Him for who He is and what He has done.

05.17.2026 - Finding Purpose in the Wilderness

Pastor Tim Franklin shares a timely message from Living Hope Fellowship about walking through the wilderness seasons of life. In “Finding Purpose in the Wilderness,” Pastor Tim reminds listeners that dry, difficult, and uncertain seasons are often places where God teaches, strengthens, and prepares us for what comes next. Looking at the lives of Moses, the Israelites, Elijah, Paul, and even Jesus, this sermon encourages believers to trust God when life feels hard, listen for His voice, and depend on His presence instead of giving in to fear, doubt, or complaining. Whether you’re in a season of waiting, testing, grief, or uncertainty, this message offers biblical encouragement to remember that God is not finished with you—and He can bring purpose through the wilderness.
