Recipe: Ingredients for first batch
4 cups Organic Half and Half
2T. Inulin
10 tablets of BioGaia, crushed, (make sure NOT to crush in plastic, this will contaminate your batch)
Instructions for first batch
Mix your 10 crushed BioGaio tablets with 2 T. inulin and 2T. of Half and Half from your 4 cups of Half and Half. Make a thin paste. Add the rest of the Half and Half. Pour into your sanitized jars. Make sure you sanitize your glass jars for the first time if they are coming new.
Fill the yogurt maker with water to the yogurt level in your jars. Not lower or higher.Set your temperature to 100 degrees and set time to 36 hours. Set your alarm so you don't forget. When done take out and put in refrigerator. Let cool for 2 hours. Don't worry if your first batch comes out chunky. You can eat it but your second batch from this starter will be awesome and creamy.
Second batch recipe:
From now on use your 2T. of your yogurt in place of the tablets. 2T. Inulin and 2T half and half from your 4 cups. No More Tablets! Your yogurt should last 10 days in the refridgerator. Always keep your starter going. Put whatever you want on it. Try frozen wild blueberries, goji berries, pumpkins seeds, your favorite granola, chia seeds and make it sweet by adding your favorite ingredients.
