Let the Children Come

Pastor Devon preaches from Mark 10:13-16. We'll be taking a break from the book of Mark and starting a summer series on the attributes of God. But this week we're shown that Jesus is not like modern celebrities who require an entourage to protect them from the crowds. In fact, Jesus rebukes his disciples for keeping children from being brought to him. Jesus is indignant when people block children from coming to him. But if we take following Jesus seriously, we don't get to pick and choose when to listen to what he says. And we're reminded that what God tells us, he tells us for our good. Marriage is so important to God because it points to the very heart of the gospel: that Jesus loves his bride, the church, died for her, and will always be faithful to her. Preached May 24, 2026 AM

Where Is My Honor?

Pastor Devon preaches on Malachi 1:6-14. When we meet someone we respect and admire, we try to make sure we give them our best. We dress up appropriately; we are on our best behavior; we give gifts that honor them. But when it comes to God, so often we can give him the leftovers of our lives. Malachi 1:6-14 gives us a strong reminder, that God will receive honor from all people, whether he is honored among them in redemption, or honored among them in retribution. Preached May 17, PM
