Revisiting How do YOU Feel Loved?

In keeping with the vein of revisiting episodes that can have a massive impact on our relationships I present to you: How do you feel loved?! How we feel loved is different for every person. I am not just talking about romantic relationships here. For those of you who are parents, you know that each of your children is different in how they feel loved by you. For our friends, they all are different in how they want to be cared about. How I emotionally support one person is completely different than another person. And if they didn’t tell me what they need, then how would I know that? It is our job to be clear about what our needs are so that we can tell other people. It feels terrible for both people if one is trying to help the other one feel better, but it isn’t in a way that person needs. The helper feels like a failure because nothing they are doing is right and the hurt person feels unsupported. If we want to have amazing relationships, we get to do the internal work and get to know ourselves. This way we can communicate this information to others so they can care about us in a way that feels good to us. Not everyone is a mind reader.
