Status of the Bill:
Currently on the Informal Senate Calendar. It could be moved to the Formal Calendar at any time and voted on. If it passes, this would be the final vote before going to the Governor.
Talking Points:
* Removes the ability of citizens to challenge misleading or unconstitutional ballot language.
* Missouri courts have historically corrected misleading summary statements.
* Accurate ballot summaries are critical for informed voting.
* Forces courts to return flawed language instead of fixing it, causing delays that reduce time to inform voters.
