Thomas spent 9 months in isolation with leukaemia, during which he realised how much music can help us through hard times, make sense of our experiences, and to feel connected to others. He now invites us to explore the meaning of music, and its importance in our lives. In Making Tracks, Thomas Kam Meadley interviews music makers about their musical and personal journeys. Beginning with a discussion of one of the musician’s own songs, they go on to explore their relationship with music, and such diverse topics as spirituality, science and society. Diagnosed with leukaemia, Thomas spent 9 months in isolation, during which time he realised how essential music is to helping us through hard times, making us feel connected to others and giving meaning to our experiences.
