Loving one another from the heart naturally leads us to pray for one another with joy—and that kind of prayer produces the fruit of spiritual maturity. In this sermon from Philippians 1:1–11, we explore how Paul’s joyful prayers for the Philippians flowed from their shared life in the gospel and how his purpose-driven prayers called them to deeper love, knowledge, and discernment. Along the way, we’ll see that prayer is not just words—it’s the root that grows kingdom fruit in each other’s lives. With personal reflections and practical application, this message calls us to: * Pray for one another with joy, even in hard times. * Let love overflow in real, everyday ways. * Seek maturity that comes through Jesus, for God’s glory. If you want a simple way to bless others and grow in Christ yourself, start here: love is a prayer. 1 Corinthians 3.6–9 “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. The one who plants and the one who waters have a common purpose, and each will receive wages according to the labour of each. For we are God’s servants, working together; you are God’s field, God’s building." We explore how this passage connects: - Personal growth → God grows the individual Christian. - Congregational growth → the church is “God’s field” and “God’s building.” - Kingdom growth → God’s power multiplies faithful planting and watering into something far greater. God bless, Malcolm
