Genesis 20 - God's the Real Hero!

The people, even the ones we might consider to be heroes of the faith, show themselves to have questionable character. I appreciate them because amidst their poor choices along the way, they have a real relationship with God.  Our faith was never about trying to achieve perfection in order to appease God but rather to trust Him to accomplish His purpose in our lives. Matthew 7:1-6 / Worry about yourself first!

Have you ever met a marriage counselor who doesn’t value their spouse?  A preacher who doesn’t believe?  A judge who takes bribes? It doesn’t matter how hypocrisy dresses up, it is always destructive for everyone involved. Psalm 20

It’s a powerful and encouraging expression of God’s goodness and kindness toward his people.  How has blessing played a role in your own life?
