My Search for Meaning and Purpose

Religion

In April of 2020 I had an unexpected faith crisis. At the time I felt that a lot was being taken away from me, except for my reputation. However, when I found out that my neighbor was spreading false rumors about me I thought, "If there is a God why did He allow this to happen?" As soon as I thought this my spiritual anchor was gone, but I was able to work through my faith crisis. But from that experience I learned how important and grounding my faith is to me. Hobbies

In June of 2023 my girlfriend broke up with me. I told my friends about my breakup and we started to hang out regularly. One of the things that we did was play D&D. At the time I had no idea how to play, but my friends were patient with me and after 6 months of playing I started to understand what was happening. Eventaully I fully understood how to play and got REALLY into D&D. On this episode I explore how people find meaning and purpose through their hobbies. Politics

As a kid I had an unusal interest in US politics, at one point I even wanted to be a US Senator. But as I have matured and after living through the horror of the last 8 years of US Politics. I have not taste to get involved in US Politics, however there are those that seek to be involved in politics. Activism

In January of 2019 I briefly joined an activist group. Shortly after I joined the group I realized that the group that I joined was a group that I didn't want to be affiliated with. Since then I have wondered why people join these activist groups and on this episode I explore how people find meaning and purpose through activism

Fandom

In December of 2020 I moved to Utah after graduating from BYUI. Since I have been living in Utah I've noticed that there are some things that people from Utah do. One of these strange things is how intense the rivalry between The University of Utah and BYU (BYU and BYUI are not the same university), especially from people who didn't attend these universities.
