In America, we often associate spiritual blessing with physical happiness. When life becomes difficult—through loss, divorce, depression, or grief—it can often make Christians either feel like their faith is a fraud or lead them to believe that God is the One who is a fraud. Despite not having every answer during times of grief, we can be encouraged, knowing that when we hurt, Jesus hurts. We can trust God during difficult times because he sees and knows our pain.

But God wants us to stand firm in him and his strength, so he has given us his armor to help us in this battle.
