#26: Turkey Season That Got Away: Coyote, Cottonmouth & Close Calls

In this episode Dad and Joe recap a frustrating Mississippi turkey season full of rainouts, long sits, and almost-misses — from spooking a roosted jake to a close coyote encounter and Dad stepping on a cottonmouth. Despite no gobbles or successful hunts, they share the highlights and hard lessons learned. With turkey season over they talk plans for spring squirrel hunting, gear and video projects, bow practice for Joe, and finding more hunting permissions for next year.

#25: Part 2- Montana Knife Co. 3.0 Grand Opening Trip

Part two of the Montana trip picks up at the chaotic MKC grand opening: thousands of fans, early-morning lines, helicopters, food trucks, and nonstop fun!  The episode highlights the User Society barbecue, surprise giveaways (including a Damascus Blackfoot gifted to Joe), friendly faces across the MKC crew, and memorable moments with new friends and Gunner the black lab. Part one of our Montana trip: we recount traveling to Missoula for the Montana Knife Company 3.0 grand opening, unexpected schedule changes, and turning the trip into a family adventure. Friday highlights include a factory tour, shopping the new MKC retail space, meeting guests like Remi Warren, Danny Bolton, and Cam Haynes, a surprise knife from Bip for Joe, Joe picking a Stockyard knife, and a party full of food, friends, and unforgettable moments. #23: 2025/26 Hunting Season Recap

Joe and Dad recap their 2025/26 hunting season, covering trips from Alabama and Mississippi to Texas and Montana. Highlights include a record whitetail in Texas, a solo mule deer hunt in Montana, several bucks and does taken in Mississippi, some missed shots and long tracks, and an overall season of memorable moments. They also preview upcoming turkey season, talk gear (shotguns and red dots), and share plans for processing meat and making sausage, jerky and more.
