The Truth about Blame

"When you blame others, you give up the power to change," Robert Anthony. Robert's words bring forth the point of this episode. A vast majority have been accustomed to blaming, they are no longer making progress in their own lives. Blaming feels good, but it perpetuates the situation you are not happy about. In order for change to happen, one has to quit blaming and take personal responsibility.

In this episode we talk about authenticity, being able to stay true to yourself. Rooting by what you stand for rather than bending and compromising who you are for the sake of fitting in and being accepted. It goes further to talk about the cost and benefits of being authentic and not being authentic.

Pruning

The point of pruning is to increase the yields, improve the health and outlook as well as direct growth to the desired outcome. Farmers have mastered this so well, yet it's a concept we can also appreciate in our lives. Removing dead, broken, and undesired branches from our lives. Cutting off branches that are just taking all the nutrients without giving us a good return. It's high time to evaluate our lives to get rid of things that are always taking value from us and never adding. Assess your friendships, are they cashing in or they are cashing out? How about your habits? Let's jump into the session and learn more about how we can apply the concept of pruning to our lives.

Outgrowing your environment

In this episode, we are going to jump onto an adventure of comparing our lives to that of a seed planted in a seedling tray. When it reaches a certain point, it needs to be transplanted into a new environment. There are times we find ourselves in a position where we have outgrown our environments. Environments do come in the form of friendships, relationships, workplace just to mention but a few. The chemistry and connection we used to have with some people just fades away, and we find ourselves distancing them by the day. At times, this occurrence might make you feel guilty but to be honest, there is no need to, given you did nothing wrong.  The spark no longer exists, the excitement you used to get from your work has vapored into thin air. What do you do? At times, it is important for you to assess the environment and see if you haven't outgrown it. If you have, it is time for you to leave if it is not willing to grow with you. If you stay in friendships that you have outgrown, they end up becoming so toxic and limiting.
