Damn You Hollywood: The Odyssey (2026)

Tonight on **Damn You Hollywood**, we're reviewing Christopher Nolan's *The Odyssey* (2026), a $250 million epic action-fantasy adapting Homer's timeless tale of war, survival, and the long road home. Matt Damon stars as Odysseus, the King of Ithaca, whose decade-long journey after the Trojan War pits him against monsters, gods, and his own pride as he struggles to reunite with Penelope (Anne Hathaway). The ensemble cast also features Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Samantha Morton, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron. Inspired by multiple translations of the poem as well as classics like *Ran* and *Andrei Rublev*, Nolan shot the film entirely on IMAX 70mm cameras across Europe and North Africa. Released on July 17, 2026, *The Odyssey* has become both a critical and commercial triumph, continuing Nolan's run as one of Hollywood's premier blockbuster filmmakers. Damn You Hollywood: Moana (2026)

Tonight on Damn You Hollywood we review the live-action remake of Moana. Released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures on July 10, 2026, the film adapts Disney's acclaimed 2016 animated hit and marks the first live-action entry in the franchise. Directed by Thomas Kail in his feature film debut from a screenplay by Jared Bush and Dana Ledoux Miller, the film stars Catherine Laga'aia as Moana alongside Dwayne Johnson, who reprises his role as Maui while also serving as a producer.
