The soaring love of God

Like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, that spreads its wings to catch them and carries them aloft. —Deuteronomy 32:11 To stir the nest means: To shake / To disturb / To remove comfort/ To create movement Disruption is not abandonment; it is divine transition. 1. From Dependence to Responsibility (Growing Up) 2. From Singleness to Covenant (Marriage & Family) 3. From Stability to Uncertainty (New Seasons) 4. From Earthly Life to Eternity (Final Transition) What “nest” is God stirring in your life right now? O- God overshadows us. The Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. —Genesis 1:2 His presence is not only protective, it is also purposeful. A- God assists us.The Three Phases of Growth Phase 1: Protection — (Foundation Stage) Phase 2: Stirring — (Growth & Stretching Stage Phase 3: Soaring — (Maturity & Impact Stage) Where is God asking you to step out in faith? R- God rescues when we fall. I carried you on eagles’ wings. —Exodus 19:4 Real love includes: Discipline / Boundaries/ Wisdom

Tam Scripture: Revelation 1:17–18a The resurrection of Jesus leads us to worship a presence. 17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. 18 I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! —Revelation 1:17-18a 37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. —Matthew 22:37-38 1. Worship with our hearts means we have honest grief and joyful praise. 2. Worship with our body means our whole being praises and declares the King. 3. Worship with our souls means our worship is a spiritual encounter.

Sermon Notes Resurrection People-Our Work Speaker: Rev. Ho-Ming Tsui Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain. —1 Corinthians 15:58 We are Easter people living in a Friday world, and our work declares that Friday is not the final word. (1) The Resurrection Stirs Our Compassion for the Hurting He executes justice [mishpat] for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing. —Deuteronomy 10:18 This is what the Lord Almighty said: “Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. —Zechariah 7:9-10a The Gospel’s Impact: We look at someone in need and we see ourselves. (2) The Resurrection Gives Us Confidence in What We’re Doing The Resurrection proves that death has no grip on the person of Jesus, but also on the work of Jesus. What can I do? 1. Resurrection People-Our Witness Speaker: Pastor Jonathan Moe Scripture: Luke 24:46-48, Acts 1:8 The Big Idea: The resurrection doesn’t just give us a message; it makes us its witnesses.   1.The Resurrection Makes Evangelism an Announcement, Not an Argument • We are witnesses announcing a reality! 2.Witness Begins With "We Have Seen" • A witness is someone who can say: "This is what I have seen" • The Power of the gospel is not just in abstract ideas — it is in lives transformed.   3.The Resurrection Gives Courage for the Awkward Conversations • We are joining Him in what he is already doing. • Matthew 28: 16-20 • The great commission = the great co-mission How do we Live as a Resurrection people? 1.Witness in everyday Spaces • Where has Jesus been real to you lately? • Moments of peace, guidance or grace? • Be Real 2.Witness as a Community • Support one another - help each other • Church events are not just activities; they are ways of being present   If you have encountered Jesus and experienced his grace, his presence, his life— Then you are a witness.
