Episode #34 - Making the American Dream Affordable Again Takes 2.0 Cover

#34 - Making the American Dream Affordable Again Takes 2.0

Taryn Bragdon, CEO of the Foundation for Government Accountability, joins Right to the Point for a special episode to break down the RSC's plan for making homeownership affordable again alongside FGA Senior Fellow April Martin. The two dig into why creditworthy Americans are stuck renting, from crushing down payment requirements to frozen inventory caused by locked-in low interest rates. Martin walks through the polling: 93% say housing costs are too high, and nearly 70% of renters want a single-family home, not a government housing unit.  Bragdon lays out the RSC's reconciliation framework to get it done, covering zero to low down payment options, mortgage assumability and portability, rent-to-own capital gains relief, and letting Americans use retirement savings to help loved ones buy a home. Each reform polls at 70 to 80 percent. Now it's time to get it across the finish line. Find us on all social media platforms @RepublicanStudy.

Episode #33 - Mr. Presler Goes to Washington to SAVE America Cover

#33 - Mr. Presler Goes to Washington to SAVE America

Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) sits down with conservative activist Scott Presler on the latest episode of Right to the Point to make the case for the SAVE America Act and put the Senate on notice. The two election integrity champions break down exactly how fraud is slipping through the cracks, from Minnesota allowing one registered voter to vouch for eight others with zero ID required, to California's bloated voter rolls that kept non-citizens in the system long after they should have been removed. Presler details how these loopholes have already flipped races, pointing to Al Franken's 312-vote Senate win that handed Democrats the 60th vote for Obamacare. Roy lays out what the SAVE America Act actually does, requiring proof of citizenship for new voter registrations, giving states the tools to check rolls against citizenship databases, and adding a commonsense voter ID requirement backed by 83% of Americans. The duo then turn their sights on the Senate, calling out Democrats who want to hide behind procedural excuses rather than defend their opposition to one of the most broadly popular bills in recent memory. The message is simple: the House did its job. Now the Senate has to answer for it. Find us on all social media platforms @RepublicanStudy.
