Episode Episode 17: Trick of Blasphemy Cover

Episode 17: Trick of Blasphemy

In this episode, let’s talk progression versus tradition. I’m all for carrying forward the wisdom of the generations before me and I’m also curious as where the line is between heresy and progress. As the common adage goes: change is the only constant. Given that this fact is so commonly known, why do people tend to cling onto the way things have been? The paradox here is that in order to grow, we must first be in acceptance of how things are now. If I try to progress my belief system but I do it while I’m judging it and others that believe that way, that’s not going to get me anywhere. That’s a form of resistance where I create a battle between me and the old way of doing things. I talk about the way forward in Episode 17; what is a good practice for us in order to know what or when change is good? I’ll give you a hint: it’s a form of faith. People who have a lot of fear around progress and change are likely going to call our new kind of faith blasphemous. Who is right? Who is wrong? I’m happy to say that the answer to this doesn’t matter. Embracing change from the inside out and having true acceptance of it all is the way to stop the battle between the judgmental and the judged.

Episode Episode 16: Live the Question, That’s the Answer Cover

Episode 16: Live the Question, That’s the Answer

In this episode, the classic paradox is at hand: find the answer to life by surrendering to living the question. Trying to find definitive answers to life is done by living through preferences. If what I prefer, aka my likes and dislikes, is ruling my decision-making and even worldview, then I will never know my True Self. I will just be consistently disappointed because that’s the nature of likes and dislikes–it’s all temporary so what I like eventually goes away and what I dislike eventually makes an appearance. I talk about how living through a Higher Purpose can alleviate us from this cycle of feeling pulled by the ups and downs of life. We won’t ever know the definitive answer of anything. Anchoring my True Happiness to always knowing that I will never know, and all I have is my power to choose, is the only “answer”. Also, paradoxically, preferences are fine! Haha. Please listen and share. Thank you.

Episode Episode 14: How Acceptance Always Wins Cover

Episode 14: How Acceptance Always Wins

Back from a short hiatus! Wow, did I resist making this episode. Why? Because in order to source each topic, I speak from what’s really happening in my life right now. This podcast is not meant to only be intellectually interesting. The work of taking these concepts of paradox into our real lives creates real change for us. Real results. Real empowerment! I did my work of dropping resistance and accepting what I needed to accept, and so Episode 14 was birthed. Today’s episode is about the paradox of acceptance. I talk about the opposing force of acceptance, which is resistance, and how to get clear on where it’s leeching energy from you. Then, I talk about what acceptance isn’t and what it truly is and how it always causes what we want. And how resisting your own resistance is a slippery slope to way more resistance! Check out this 11 minute episode 🙂 [https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f642.png]

Episode Episode 13: Leggo My Ego Cover

Episode 13: Leggo My Ego

I have discovered that if I remain unawakened and reactionary, my mind chooses my decisions for me based on its fears; but, if I put my mind to directing my mind, I can use it to choose from the foundation of my soul. It takes an acceptance of the ego to let go of the ego. We must transcend the ego-mind aka “the little self” in order to have eternal acceptance and bliss. Do you think that judging your own mind is the way to go? Do you, like me, catch yourself being in judgment or annoyance at your own thoughts? As a yogi wanting to be on the path to bigger and higher purposes, I sometimes find that I demonize my own brain. This episode is about how our monkey minds are not to be admonished like something wicked, but to be cherished and then used on the good path to the soul. So, how do you transcend your ego while letting it do its job?
