In this passage, the apostle Paul the Apostle explains that love is the greatest gift of all. He describes love as patient, kind, humble, and enduring. Paul teaches that talents, knowledge, and achievements mean nothing without love. The chapter ends by saying that faith, hope, and love remain, but the greatest of these is love.

Philippians 2:1–13 calls believers to live in unity, humility, and love. Paul urges people to put others before themselves, following the example of Jesus Christ. Though Jesus was divine, he humbled himself by becoming human and obedient—even to death on a cross. Because of this, God exalted him above all. The passage ends by encouraging believers to continue growing in their faith, trusting that God is at work within them, guiding their actions and shaping their hearts. Acts 16:16–34: Paul the Apostle casts a spirit out of a slave girl, which leads to him and Silas being beaten and imprisoned. While in jail, they pray and sing, and an earthquake miraculously opens the prison doors. The jailer, terrified, is stopped by Paul and asks how to be saved. He and his whole household believe in Jesus and are baptized

Acts 9:1-19a - Saul is on his way to Damascus to arrest followers of Jesus. Suddenly, a bright light from heaven surrounds him, and he hears the voice of Jesus Christ asking, "Why are you persecuting me?" Saul becomes blind and is led into the city. The Lord then speaks to Ananias in a vision, telling him to visit Saul. Though afraid at first, Ananias obeys, lays hands on Saul, and Saul regains his sight. Saul is filled with the Holy Spirit and is baptized.

John 20:1-18 Mary Magdalene went to Jesus' tomb and found it empty. She told the disciples, and they saw the grave clothes but didn't understand. Mary stayed and met Jesus, though she didn't recognize him at first. When he called her by name, she realized he had risen. She went and told the disciples, "I have seen the Lord!"
