Suffering Well: Part 1

Welcome to Taking it One Day at a Time Podcast, where we allow God to order our steps daily. On this episode we discuss suffering. During times of suffering, it is important that we continue to trust God and not allow the enemy to keep us isolated. We must remember the scriptures that we read daily to encourage us and to remind us that Jesus has it all figured out.    Coming from John chapter 9, we will look into the time when Jesus healed the blind beggar. The disciples asked if the blind man was blind because of sins or his parents sins. Jesus responded and said, "Neither him nor his parents sinned. This happened so the power of God could be seen in him."    Sometimes life happens and suffering will be a part of this journey. We didn't have to do anything wrong. Dealing with Grief

TW: This past February, I received the most shocking news in a very long time. I was standing in the kitchen making myself something to eat when I found out one of my closest friends had passed away unexpectedly. I was at a loss for words and I questioned God… a lot.  Grief is hard. It comes in waves. One minute you are ok but then one reminder, one song, one photo, one memory will trigger you in ways you may not expect. Although I took some time to grieve, it is still a process. Today I wanted to encourage those who may be mourning or grieving to stay in your word and to continue to trust in God. It may not always make sense, but thank God for Hs peace and His comfort. You are not alone in your feelings. It is okay to cry. It is ok to ask God questions that you may not understand. Believe that He grieves right along with you and is hurt when you hurt. In these times, it is important to lean closer to Jesus. Go to Him today and cast your cares upon Him. One Year Later

Happy almost one year anniversary to the podcast! Around this time last year, I was preparing to get out of my comfort zone and release the podcast that the Lord laid on my heart to do. I am so blessed that God chose me to be a vessel by speaking His word and sharing my testimonies and vulnerable moments with you all.  On this episode I share about my thoughts on entering a new decade soon and all the things I either had to let go of or return to in 2025. Overcoming Rejection

Sometimes ministry can be difficult. Sometimes you go through challenges and opposition that leave you questioning God, and feeling unqualified. In those moments, it is important to remind yourself that Jesus understands how you feel. Not only does He understand, He himself went through rejection. Jesus, Jeremiah and many other prophets know first hand how it feels for others to reject the Word.
