Your hosts, Hutch and Lucky, were avid community members of what was once the fastest growing cryptocurrency project during its parabolic ascent in 2021 and its rapid demise in 2022. Terra/LUNA was more than just another meme coin – it was a movement. The goal was to take the technology of decentralized finance to the next level. But let’s be clear, this story was as much about human nature as it was about technology. This story will take a deeper dive into the age-old emotional drivers of Fear and Greed, plus other behavioral finance patterns that seem to be amplified by the volatility of crypto. In walking you through Terra/LUNA’s meteoric rise and historic collapse will help you understand the basic science behind cryptocurrency, decentralized finance, and different blockchains through the relatively brief history of the space.
